Awesome / X-Men Red (2022)

• Issue #8 ends with an infopage detailing the sheer extent of Brand's plans and manipulations (and in some cases, lucky accidents). Simultaneously impressive and terrifying.
• Issue #9 has Roberto pulling a switcheroo on Vulcan, revealing he's been disguised as Xandra, and since his powers are fuelled by sunlight, there's nothing Vulcan can do to him. And once Vulcan leaves, Roberto reveals he was bluffing.
• #16 has Storm dropping both Famine and War in seconds, leaving them on the brink of death. Pestilence decides to fire a sneaky arrow at Storm after Death has challenger her to a duel. It hits Nova instead. Death is disgusted and he kills Pestilence for it.
• #17 has Storm, Apocalypse, Vulcan, Sunfire/Redroot, and Orc working together to create Kaorak, their own walking island, via magic, with the spell being represented through a collage of past panels and pictures of nature. It’s as awesome as it sounds.
• From #18:
  • Sunspot, with a boost of power from Khora, hits Ora Seratta with a full blast of sunlight.
  • Storm and Genesis face off again, and Genesis uses her power to try and kill Ororo. It doesn't take, as she just crawls on to grab at Annihilation, which tries offering her power now that Genesis is useless to it. Ororo, naturally, demonstrates what the staff can do with its offer, pointing out that if it's no longer deflecting her attacks on Genesis, it's vulnerable. Cue one big-ass lightning bolt to melt Annihilation.
