Witch Hunt
Lady of the Lake
- Douxie talking Claire through the use of her shadow magic is one for both of them.
- Douxie shows his chops as an instructor, being able to effectively teach Claire how to use her powers at will despite being unfamiliar with them himself.
- For her part, Claire gains conscious control over Shadow Magic after only a few hours of instruction.
Battle Royale
- Despite being badly injured, Jim gives a good showing against Gumm-Gumm Aaarrrgghh!!!, demonstrating impressive agility in avoiding his opponents' attacks and lasts longer than most even when he refuses to actually attack his future friend.
- Blinky and Dictatious attempting to rally the other Trolls to join in the fight. While it quickly becomes a Negated Moment of Awesome, it still establishes the two as Cowardly Lion rather than Dirty Coward, especially since they were up against Gunmar's right hand Troll.
- In the end, it's Callista who manages to actually defeat him, by dropping the massive water bowl on top of him, pinning him in place. She actually managed to subdue Gunmar's top general using only her wits and survival skills, something no troll had the guts to do. You can see why the Amulet chose Callista to become the first Trollhunter out of the other trolls of Dwoza.
Killahead, Part One
- We get to see the Trollhunter's amulet be forged and the whole process is loaded with awesome.
- Merlin states that completing the process will take two master wizards and then bequeaths Diouxie a staff, officially recognizing his apprentice as a fully fledged Wizard, and trusting his input during the forging process.
- It's not focused on, but Claire is able to bring herself and Jim halfway across the world via shadow travel just so they can have a nice date before the final battle and shows no signs of fatigue in doing so.
Killahead, Part Two
- Basically, the entire Battle of Killahead is just a battlefield of awesome.
- Deya rallies the trolls to fight back against the Gumm-Gumms while single-handedly killing many before facing off against Gunmar himself and winning.
- With Merlin out of commission, Douxie spars with Morgana, who has been empowered by the Arcane Order and using her enragement over Arthur's death to fuel her quest for vengeance and destroy her master and junior. With help from Archie, Douxie manages to triumph over Morgana and save the future by imprisoning her.
- Steve gets Nimue to help him beat up Bular and throw him away.
Wizard Underground
- Camelot and the Heart of Avalon have been destroyed, the Green Knight is right on top of them and everyone is exhausted from the previous fight. What does Jim do? Rams the cursed shard straight into his chest, trigger his transformation to a full-troll, and goes to buy time for his friends to escape. The amulet chose well.
Dragon's Den
- Although more of a Tear Jerker, it's impressive to understand in the last minute that, deep down within the body of a loathsome beast, Jim is still trying to fight back for his free will. Even in his own darkest hour, the Trollhunter does his best to give his friends hope he can still be saved from Arthur's corruption.
Our Final Act
- The entire final battle:
- Claire faces against Beast Jim with strong hope of bringing her boyfriend back. She ultimately succeeds and even restores Jim to his human form, something Merlin claimed to be impossible.
- Morgana's duel against her traitorous undead brother, Arthur (now reborn as the Green Knight). When she's struck by an Onyx Shard and slowly dies, Morgana ultimately redeems herself by using the last of her magic to strip Arthur of Excalibur, leaving it sheathed in stone for a new generation of heroes.
- Douxie tricks the Arcane Order in a time loop with his Eternal Time Trap (made with Akiridion tech and the Heart of Avalon), using the Genesis Seals as bait to distract them while he rescues his friends from their fortress. When the Order returns with the Seals, Douxie barely manages to allow Nari to escape and unleashes a massive magic duel against primordial demigods. After pulling off a Heroic Sacrifice and speaking with Merlin and Morgana's spirits in the afterlife, Douxie returns to the living and is congratulated by his friends.
