• In 2015, Ospreay takes on Kazuchika Okada at RevPro. Despite losing the match, he was so impressive in the match that Okada wanted New Japan Pro-Wrestling to hire him and would bring him in as a member of CHAOS.
• He makes his New Japan debut at Invasion Attack 2016 to challenge KUSHIDA for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship. While he comes up short, he left an impression on the crowd with his high-flying abilities. At one point, he did a handspring without using his hands to compensate with KUSHIDA having worked on them.
• He enters his first Best of the Super Juniors, makes to the finals, and defeats Ryusuke Taguchi to win the tournament, becoming the youngest winner at age 23 in the process, as well as the first British winner.
• Him, Ricochet, and Matt Sydal vs. Adam Cole and The Young Bucks at Night 2 of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's Battle of Los Angeles. The match was rated five stars by Dave Meltzer and would be the first of so many for Ospreay.
• He made to his second straight BOSJ finals but this time, he faces an old rival in KUSHIDA. The match was rated five stars, the first singles match of Ospreay to get the rating.
• Ospreay once again challenges KUSHIDA for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship at King of Pro-Wrestling and finally beats him for the title, becoming the first British to hold the title. He also debuts his "Elevated" entrance theme at a NJPW event.
• Ospreay has the most five-or-more star ratings by Dave Meltzer than anyone in history at 38.
