• On a more minor note, Nigel quickly deducing the poacher's plan to frighten the elephants into stampeding into the electric fence counts.

And then she remembers what she learned at the beginning of the movie about nonverbal elephant communication and convinces the herd's matriarch to turn around by kicking her behind the ear, which the elephant immediately recognizes as "I need you to turn around and go the other way."

• The story behind Nigel's medal is an Offscreen Moment of Awesome: As a schoolboy, he saved twenty of his fellow students from a fire by making a rope ladder on the fly.
