Awesome / The Mummy (2017)

• The plane scene at the beginning of the movie. As is the norm with Tom Cruise movies, that scene was shot with minimal CGI, aboard a zero-g plane, using parabolic arc dives to simulate weightlessness.
• The titular Mummy. It's kinda hard not to cheer for her as she utterly curbstomps most anyone in her way, sucks people dry of life-force, turns a whole bunch of people into zombies, and devastates London with a raging sandstorm. It helps that she's played by Sofia Boutella, who manages to look fantastic half-mummified and covered in rotting bandages, with two irises too many.
  • Special props to Ahmanet for making the cargo plane carrying her crash right next to the old church where the dagger has been hidden away. Now that's precision.
• Nick jumping through the shattered windscreen of a crashing double-decker bus after pushing Jenny out of the way.
  Vail: Wow, that was intense!
• Nick manages to steal Set's dagger right out of Ahmanet's hand while she's got him by the throat.
• Nick absolutely wiping the floor with Ahmanet after getting possessed by Set and regaining control. Not only does he punch her into next week, he even uses Ahmanet's ability to return her to her mummified state.
• The final shot showing a resurrected Vail and Nick hurtling across the desert on horseback, with a massive sandstorm at their heels, courtesy of Nick's new set of powers.
  Nick: Where's your sense of adventure?
• Despite having nothing overtly to do with the storyline, Edward Hyde's appearance is just that cool.
