Trails from Zero

  • The brief flashback that shows how the D∴G cult was taken down. An international task force composed of many nations police, military, and the Bracer Guild was assembled to destroy all of the cult's lodges across Zemuria; this includes Guy, Sergei, Arios, and Zin among many other people, and was led by none other than Cassius Bright himself. Not only that, but behind the scenes, the Septian Church and even friggin' Ouroboros helped to take the cult down, as seen from the Sky games. The fact that so many different factions and people worked together to crush such a heinous cult is friggin' awesome.
  • The entirety of Zero's Final Chapter, Crossbell's Longest Day, is this, filled with many tense and equally awesome moments. To elaborate:
    • The Bracer Guild gets attacked by unknown assailants in the middle of a phone call, and immediately afterwards Noel called the SSS to inform them that they've lost contact with Bellguard Gate. Still reeling from this info, Zeit growls at the front door; the SSS building has been surrounded. Pulling out his shotgun, Sergei promptly orders Lloyd and Randy to carry KeA and Shizuku and for everyone to get into formation just as the building gets attacked by none other than the CGF stationed at Bellguard Gate.
    • What follows is an absolutely tense and adrenaline-filled Chase Scene throughout the whole city as the party tried to retreat into a safe haven, which at first is the CPD headquarters. The CGF are everywhere, and numerous times Sergei, Dudley and Elie has to provide covering fire as they ran around the city, only to find that the CPD headquarters is already on lockdown mode with CGF trying to break through. With no other option, the party returns to Central Square, and they have to escape through the East Highway to be picked up by Noel while Sergei and Dudley stays behind to sow confusion among the CGF left in the city.
    • While the East Highway is free of CGF, another obstacle is there: Revache, and soon enough the party gets cornered by both the mafia and the CGF from the city. Just as all hope seems lost, friggin' Dieter and Mariabell come to the rescue in their bullet-proof Limousine, and the party successfully manages to escape to the IBC where they can earn some rest while explaining the situation.
    • The defense of the IBC as the SSS has to defend the building from endless waves of CGF soldiers, complete with Inevitable Struggle playing throughout the entire siege. As they got worn down and exhausted, preparing for the worst to at least get KeA back to safety, Arios shows up and defeats every CGF soldiers assaulting IBC in a single move.
    • He doesn't come alone though; Sergei and Dudley soon rejoined them, while the Saber Vipers and the Testaments are working together to further hold the line against the brainwashed CGF and Revache.
    • The SSS goes to the Sun Fort in the Ancient Battlefield with Dieter's bullet-proof Limousine, but soon enough the CGF's armored cars are hot in pursuit, with machine guns strong enough to pierce through the bullet-proof car. The situation seems dire as Sergei took a shot in the leg while driving, but Noel came with her own armored car, and with her driving skills intercepted the brainwashed CGF's cars on her own, without guns, and allowing the SSS to ride on uninterrupted to the Sun Fort.
    • And of course, as they finally reached the Sun Fort Estelle and Joshua finally joins the party, thus showing the reason why up to two people can act as support for the party at a time.
    • Renne showing up at the end of Zero to save the SSS and the Brights from Joachim's Taking You with Me attempt, delivering a little Laser-Guided Karma in the process.

  • At the production level, the play "Golden Sun, Silver Moon". Despite the sprite-based graphics engine only allowing for three distinct "dance" moves (jump, spin, flip), Falcom managed to choreograph a beautiful performance for their show within the game.

Trails to Azure

  • Randy's Roaring Rampage of Revenge at the end of Chapter 3 where he almost successfully wages a one-man war on Red Constellation, until he runs into Shirley.
  • Proving that Oh, Crap! moments can indeed be awesome, the scene where we learn the true purpose of the Geofront, as the entire country of Crossbell is transformed into a massive alchemical circle which awakens KeA's full power.
  • Villainous though it may be, the scenes of the Aions completely annihilating the military forces of Erebonia and Calvard is damned cool. Aion Type-Alpha tanking one Railway Cannon shot and destroying another is also damned awesome as we've spent two games hearing how those guns could annihilate Crossbell if they were ever fired at it. Then it goes and makes sure those weapons will never be fired again...
  • When Lloyd was at his lowest point in prison, separated from the rest of the SSS, it was none other than his cellmate, Garcia, who managed to bring him out of his funk by sharing his history with Guy. A revitalized Lloyd then made a plan to escape, and with nothing more than makeshift weapons, he and Garcia worked together to bust out of prison while Inevitable Struggle plays in the background throughout the entire sequence, and it is awesome.
    • The fact that Garcia became a Guest-Star Party Member with all of the moves that he used against the SSS back in Zero also counts. Hell, him staying back instead of escaping with Lloyd also made him all the more badass, showing his loyalty and brotherhood with his men.
  • Zeit in his Sacred Beast form saving Lloyd at the end of the Fragmentary Chapter.
  • The entire liberation of Crossbell sequence in the Final Chapter. Actually, pretty much the entire Final Chapter is a long string of Awesome, mixed with Heartwarming and Tearjerker.
  • When Arianhod's one attack brought the entire party to their knees, the only one who even manages to dodge it is Rixia.
