Love triumphs at the end...
- Awesome Music: The selection of songs that appear in its soundtrack were quite attractive at the time of its release.
- Hal (who at this point early in the relationship still thinks Rosemary's drop-dead gorgeous) mistakes two guys' rude comments toward Rosemary as insults towards himself, and tears into them.
- Rosemary, despite her genuine sweet disposition, doesn't suffer fools lightly. When Mauricio is somewhat rude to her upon their introduction, she is quick to burn his ass with a well-placed burn on his sense of style, or lack thereof.
- Walt, despite his spina bifida, is the most positive, upbeat, and all-around fun guy in the movie.
- Hal's friends calling him out when they think he's only dating Rosemary to suck up to her father, and how his superficiality has finally gone too far. Granted, they're wrong, but can you blame them for assuming?
- Another semi-subversion: Hal telling Rosemary's father his perfectionism has destroyed his daughter's self-esteem and that she deserves better. It's pretty awesome either way, but would have been a lot more powerful had he known what she really looked like.
- Rosemary's successful Bridal Carry of Hal at the climax, right after his abysmal (but funny) failure.
