Awesome / Metroid Prime: Federation Force

  • The final challenge faced and accomplishment made by the Federation Force, to stop the Doomseye and save the galaxy. Now, the purpose of Project Golem was fairly obvious, as it was the ultimate step in something the Federation has been trying —and sorely failing— to do for years: make their own Samuses who can operate at the level of the real deal. Problem is, the Federation lacks the Chozo DNA and technology to make this possible. So, their only accord was to train their best soldiers at Samus's level and create armored suits from all the compiled data they've gained over time of hers, then let the soldiers selected for the program succeed or fail in the field. Now, what makes this awesome? The final boss is Samus. Granted, she's in a Morph Ball Mode Lock, as the controlling Master Brain cannot control her at full efficiency, but to compensate it enlarges her to gargantuan Nigh-Invulnerable size, and she has all her Morph Ball capabilities in play: Bombs, Spider Ball, Boost Ball et all. And even after taking her down, they go on to stop Master Brain, escape the Self-Destruct Sequence and bring down the Space Pirates once again. The Federation Force, these ragtag Red Shirts of the army, proved they have what it takes to keep up with the greatest hero and warrior in the Metroid universe. And bear in mind, she's outclassed everything else by now by a tremendous margin.
  • Several of the game's music tracks have been noted for being surprisingly good. In particular, Mission Briefing is one just about all of the game's fans love.
