• There's a reason this film is the most expensive comedy of its time. The scene with the flood was outstanding.
• The visual symbolism of not only two literal wolves growling at Congressman Long, but as Evan points out, the figurative wolves (the collective white house) glaring at Congressman Long. To add to it, their glare is accompanied by the wolves' growling, as though making it clear that they are growling in their own way.
  • The cherry on top is the Ironic Echo to Long's earlier statement about wolves. Earlier, he told Evan that when one wolf acts out of line in such a way that endangers its pack, the rest of the pack maul it to death. Looks like Long's about to get a taste of his own philosophy.
• The police officers in the flood scene. The very instant the head officer running security for the crowd gathered at the ark realizes the dam has burst, they all immediately spring into action getting everyone onto the ark, making sure everyone gets on before them, and then helping Evan get the ark door closed mere moments before the water comes crashing into the ark wall.
  • Mixed with Heartwarming but when Evan yells for everyone to hang on as the Ark goes over the waterfall, the passengers who can't hold onto the sides of the boat hold on to each other. While everyone gets very wet, not a single one falls down.
• Evan building the ark, especially compared to his first attempt, when he was constantly getting injured. On his own, with just the animals for assistance, the ark goes from pieces of wood to taking the shape of a big boat. Even better when his family joins in.
