Translated as Lovely-Girl Commando Unit Battle Skipper, this 1995 Japanese animated series is about St. Ignacio's School for girls and their mechas.

Mostly about the girls, actually, as they enter the cockpits to advance in the school hierarchy as much as they do to save the world. They are the Etiquette Club, also known as Exters, a secret task force that two freshmen join out of curiosity.

Tropes:

  • Merchandise-Driven: The mechas the girls use are based on a toy line by Takara Tomy. The series is a three-parter, fan-service-riddled, easily side-tracked commercial.
  • Ojou: Exploited. While she does fit the ladylike behavior and being heiress to a rich family part, Reika Ayanokouji uses this reputation to craft the perfect cover for the Exters in the Etiquette Club. Would you suspect the proper, rich girl of starting anything other than a club to teach her unruly schoolmates some manners?
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: While the president of the Etiquette Club is the Ojou, with perfect grades and always collected and calm; her vice president is as passionate as bullheaded and struggles with her studies.
  • There Is No Rule Six: The vice president of the Etiquette Club goes to give a recruitment speech, only to discover that her notes are missing (actually stolen by a rival from the Debutante Club), so she improvises a speech on the spot: "In the Etiquette Club, the first rule is strength! The second rule is strength! There are no third or fourth rules, but the fifth rule is strength!" Cue Face Palm from the club president.
