6/9 Tuesday 28 days until Full Moon
Yukari met up with Minako at the gates wondering about Mitsuru's motive about the rescue.
Can't deal. Want more rest. Like Mitsuru more than you.
“She did it for the right reasons.”
“I-I guess so...” Yukari said. “...Well I guess whether she joins is up to her...sorry to bring this up out of the blue.”
Really didn’t wish I had to do this. Minako thought as she entered the nurse’s office. She quickly drank the vile liquid, feeling a little more courageous.
Minako smiled and approached the Magician, Jack Frost hee-hoing in delight. The two headed out for ramen.
While they enjoyed the meal, Junpei did point out their future weight problems if they always eat out all the time. “You might be fine now, but you don’t want to be a tub in ten years, you know?”
H-hey! That’s- well…
“Look who’s talking.”
“Haha, yeah I know I’m screwed. I don’t exercise like Akihiko-san after all.”
Now that’s what I need to keep doing! Exercising! Long walks around the neighborhood should do the trick when I’m done with Tartarus. But I guess I should get into the habit now…
“Still...man, you ever wonder what we’ll be doing in ten years? I…don’t really want to think about it.”
I can see Junpei with a wife and kids, working hard at a job…and being a great husband and father.
“You’ll be a great man.”
“You really think so? Hearing it from you definitely makes my day.”
Heh. Wow...that certainly made my day.
Junpei turned to his ramen and was silent for a while though. “Lately, when I do stuff like watch TV or read manga, I can’t concentrate.” He fiddled with his chopsticks for a little bit before starting up again. “It’s like…I dunno…I keep thinking ‘Is this how I should be?’ Haha…I wonder if there’s anything only I can do…”
“…your terrible jokes?”
“Gee, thanks. That’s helpful. I mean, Yuka-tan’s got her response to my jokes down to a science. She delivers a dope-slap that feels like an icy dagger to my brain.”
“So what do mine feel like?”
“Hard. Just hard.”
He smiled but once again, a bit of a silence fell between the two. Finally he spoke up again. "When I think about this Persona stuff, it’s like I have a personal mission…but I don’t understand it at all.” Minako ate a bit more of her ramen while Junpei took his time to speak up. “Maybe I don’t even have a mission like that and that’s what I’m afraid of. I’ve got all of these pent-up emotions that I can’t figure out…do you have anything like that? Like, do you ever think about what you can do?”
Hmm…well I do worry about what I can do outside of attacking Shadows. Even with this full moon thing, it doesn't seem like much is changing. And even then, I haven’t even begun to ponder life without it.
“Sometimes…”
“…I see. I mean…you don’t seem like that at all. I guess that’s another thing that’s amazing about you.”
Yeah. I don’t seem it do I? But…this feels nice. Talking to him like this.
“Oh um…what where we talking about? Ha, I guess talking about serious stuff once and awhile isn't so bad.”
Yeah. Feel free to talk to me whenever you know
Eventually, the two finished up their meals and headed back for the dorm, a seventh Magician card sliding into place.
“Oh hey.” Yukari said to the duo as they returned. “Mitsuru-senpai and Akihiko-senpai are going to the hospital to see Fuuka today. I wonder how she is doing? Oh, by the way, Ikutsuki-san told me that the antique shop in Paulownia Mall is open now. Maybe we should go check it out sometime.”
Correction. I shall be the one checking it out.
Good the see the people recovering from Apathy Syndrome. Just as we knew would happen. Feels nice.
Minako, though very sleepy from the battle last night, persevered in her job at the café, feeling charmier, more brave after a well fought victory with the bug.
6/10 Wednesday 27 days until Full Moon
Mitsuru met Minako up at the gate, reporting that Fuuka and Natsuki were recovering well.
“That’s good.” Minako nodded, half-asleep.
Mitsuru nodded and explained they would tell Fuuka what happened, expressing the hope of her joining the team.
Why did I work last night. Need sleep now.
Minako, in a daze, hardly registered what Mr. Ono was talking about barely getting some dates and the Man-yoshu in. She didn’t even feel annoyed when he went on samurai’s later on.
Oh god that taste! Ack! At least I’m wide awake now.
Hope I can stay up through sewing today. Would not be good if I get an accident or something. Minako slipped into the Home Ec Room, Nigi Mitama making her more attuned to the Temperance.
However, he was very quiet today for some reason.
This isn’t like him. He’s usually talking my ear off on ways to sew things or how wonderful Nihon is.
“You look down.” Minako finally said to Bebe.
“You can tell somezing eez wrong!?” He said surprised.
Well…yeah.
“Uh…last night…my dear aunt…was taken away by ze angels!”
“R-really?”
“…Zat is why…”
Oh…oh no…
“S-sorry, gomenasai…she was the reason I was able to come to Japan. And now, she ‘as been taken away. She ‘elped me so much, and…I could not do anyzing for ‘er. I was ‘olding zis inside because I know zat crying would not ‘elp. But, seeing ze look on your face, Minako-sama…I…”
"…crying does help a little."
W-what am I supposed to do for him…I guess…I can hang out with him but…
“Sorry gomenasai. I cannot work today. Well…Genki de ne…”
Minako went back to the room, feeling pity for Bebe, as fourth Temperance card slid into place.
“’sup dude?”
“Hey Junpei.”
“They’re at the hospital again, visiting Fuuka…so I guess we’re not going anywhere tonight. Man, I wonder when she’ll be ready to come along.”
“Hey don’t assume that she’ll be joining us.” Yukari snapped. “I hope they’re not trying to push her into it.”
Minako sighed softly at this. “Well I’m heading up to bed you guys. Still tired from the mission after all…”
"Stop it...Stop it! Don't...don't kill them! No!"
6/11 Thursday 26 days until Full Moon
Hmm? A text message? I don’t get too many of those. Ah, Akihiko. Should not be surprised. Fuuka’s getting released. Goodie.
Junpei did ask for a favor. Might as well. Jack Frost expressed his happiness as Minako hung out with him. Junpei asked Minako if it was alright if they could go to the library to help his homework.
“Sure thing!” The two headed off and entered the library.
Oh snap! Saori’s here! Minako awkwardly waved to the Hermit before settling down with Junpei.
“Man, I’m sorry. I just can’t figure out this homework by myself.”
“Ask me anything.” Minako smiled and said.
“Awesome! Seriously, I don’t even know what I don’t know anymore.”
Ohhhh boy. This’ll be work.
“I’ve been avoiding math ever since I started going here. All of this ‘vector’ and ‘trigonometric ratio’ stuff sounds like magic to me. Alright, I’m gonna do this today! I’m gonna overcome my fear of math!”
Minako laughed happily. “You’re on fire!”
“Just watch me get through this! And help me out once in awhile!”
Junpei started in with his homework, with Minako gently tutoring him whenever necessary. About an hour later the two managed to finish the homework. Junpei gave a shout with glee, with Saori giving him a sush.
“Well done!” Minako quietly said.
“Whoa, I could get used to hearing that. Hey, thanks. You were really a big help.”
And I could get used to hearing that.
“I was…thinking about trying hard for once. I always thought that stuff like math would never help me in the future but I noticed that it might be important, even if you never use it. It’s like…how do I put it…what matters is how you put your time to use. I don’t think I can start lecturing you on how to live your life or anything, I mean, there’s nothing wrong with just doing what feels good in the moment, but in the end, it doesn't satisfy me, and it bothers me even more. Yeah…I guess I've just got anxiety or something…but I think I figured it out recently. I haven’t found anything yet, but I get the feeling that I will, someday as long as I am with you and everyone else. I guess…f-friends are important after all…”
Wow. It’s nice to see him like this. Yeah, friends are important. And I will do my best to help you if you need me.
“I believe I understand.”
R-really? I totally thought you were going to start laughing at me. Heheh…”
Now why would I laugh at Junpei?
“You’re always doing your best, all that time. It made me want to act like that. I mean, you study, you’re in clubs… aren't you in the student council too? I think that’s amazing.”
That’s…well…yeah. I-I’m happy. Heh. It’s wonderful to hear that.
Junpei gave a puzzled look to Minako. “Hey, that guy over there…is he a friend of yours?”
“Hmm?” Minako looked but saw no one.
“Huh? He hid. He was looking your way. Looked like he was holding something…a camera!?” Junpei jumped up and so did Minako.
“I’m coming too!”
“Huh? It’s okay, you stay here! Oh…he got away…”
“Sorry about that.”
“It’s alright. I've seen his face so it’s okay. You just leave him to me.”
“Make sure him good.” Minako nodded at Junpei.
“Huh? Oh yeah, leave it to me but violence isn't always the answer missy.”
Ah but it’s what you are going to use is it?
“Anyway, let’s go home. Sorry to keep you here so late. Try not to go home by yourself from now on, okay?”
The two headed back for the dorm, an eighth Magician card sliding into place.
The two headed up the stairs and into the meeting. They found Fuuka, who looked much better since the incident. Ikutsuki told her to take a seat and told her to relax as she was very tense. He complemented the team for their work and reported that the girls have all gained consciousness. He explained that the girls were attacked by Shadows during the Dark Hour after the waited at the gate and the rumors made it into a ghost story.
“It’s all my fault.” Fuuka said.
“Are you kidding!? You’re the victim!” Yukari said.
“But I made so many people worry…”
“Hey, don’t think like that.”
So another person who blames themselves for everything. I should help her out. I was, well I guess I am a bit, like that so…
“We could have lost that fight if you weren't there.” Mitsuru said. “You saved our lives. You should feel good about yourself. You have a special power that you can use to help others.”
“A special power?” Fuuka asked befuddled.
“We call it ‘Persona’. You could be a tremendous help to us. Will you lend us your strength?”
“Are you asking me to join you?”
“That’s correct.”
“Mitsuru-senpai…”
“I think you’d make a good addition to the team, too.” Akihiko said.
“Akihiko-senpai…”
“You know, we’re not trying to pressure you, so if you need some time to think about it…” Yukari said but she was swiftly interrupted.
“I’ll do it.” Fuuka said, full of determination. “I’ll help you!”
“A-are you sure!? If you join, you’ll have to live here…”
“That’s fine. I’d rather live here than at home anyway.”
“We really appreciate this.” Mitsuru said. “We’ll have the school talk to your parents to resolve any issues.”
“Thank you.” Fuuka said.
“…wait a minute. Aren’t we dragging her into this a bit fast?”
…this was about the same thing that happened to me, and I was less willing than Fuuka was. I say no. Yukari, you are not earning any bit of help back from the incident before.
“Um, it’s okay, really…” Fuuka said. “I mean, it’ll be nice to have two other girls in my grade around too.”
Which reminds me that Yukari was really eager to have me on the team because I was a girl. Really not helping Yukari. What? Is it because of her ‘fragility?’ She joined us as support right after she spent hours in Tartarus! Or…is it something against our senpai? Ah well. I should say something to Fuuka.
“Welcome aboard.” She smiled and gave a polite handshake.
“Oh yes! I hope I can prove myself useful to you all.”
“Y-yeah, that’s the spirit,” Yukari said.
Ikutsuki then brought the point of the Full Moon shadows and how they always appear on the Full Moon. The team was to consider this now. Junpei and Akihiko were enthused at this.
Alright, Fuuka is joining dispite Yukari’s displeasure at her senpai and we know now to prepare for the Full Moons. Good.
“Dude, she’s the exact opposite of Yuka-tan. Smart…nice…great! A new type!”
“…not bad.”
“Yeah! I’m starting to feel motivated! There are some things about school even I like…meaning girls!”
I suppose that includes me.
“It seems like Fuuka was forced to join us,” Yukari said.
“No. If anything she Jumped at the Call. Like Junpei. Like I. I can’t speak for you though.”
“…I just don’t feel good about this.”
“We have achieved new powers and learned new information about Shadows.” Ikutsuki said. “Today was a great day for all of us.”
Yukari glanced their way with an uneasy expression.
“Okay…where’s Mitsuru and Akihiko?” Minako asked.
“Oh, I asked Mitsuru and Akihiko to take Fuuka home. She shouldn’t be walking home alone.”
While I go for coffee on my own.
Why is it that I find the report on the lunar probe kinda humorous at this point?
Mmm. I really needed this coffee surprisingly enough. I guess I was a bit harsh on Yukari. But…right now, it’s kinda hard for me to like her at this point.
…would those people stop staring?
6/12 Friday 25 days until Full Moon
“Mornin’,” Yukari greeted Minako. “Hey, Minako…what do you think of Fuuka?”
“She’s very helpful.”
“You think so? I mean, yeah, her Persona ability is great n’ all but…”
Oh god. Tune it out or I will not be able to stand to hang out with her later.
During lunchtime Minako noticed Fuuka hanging out with Natsuki during lunch. While she was initially nervous about the two, as she kept an eye on them, she noticed they were having fun.
Should try to hang out with Fuuka at some point.
Alright. Looks like I need a Lovers Persona for Yukari. Heh, it has been a long while. To the Velvet Room!
Minako checked the quests and found that she needed 3 Jack Frost dolls for him.
NO! Not my dolls! Well…alright.
Theo was amazed with the doll and wondered what makes the Jack Frost so alluring. He couldn’t stop touching it. He gave her punching gloves for Akihiko.
As cute as these gloves are and as much as I hate to admit it, Yukari is a good healer.
“Alright Theo. How about a date?”
“Thank you very much. Well then, please lead the way.”
The two headed out, but when they got to the other station, Theo was quite nervous around the escalator. Evidently, the moving stairs made him nervous.
Minako sighed. Just like a kid.
“Here.” Minako tried to led him on but he objected, going on ahead of her.
“This is rather…slow.” Minako smiled as they finally got off the escalator. After a little bit of embarrassment, he proclaimed it to be child’s play. They headed on up. “So this is a strip mall…a lively place indeed.” He was drawn to the smell of the takoyaki stand. He amazed the stand worker by guessing the secret ingredient and charmingly asked if he could buy one.
“It’ll make you smile so wide your cheeks will fall out!” She said.
“So good as to make one’s cheeks fall off!? That…would be dire indeed!”
Minako giggled. “It’s just a metaphor.”
“Eh? O-of course. As if such a thing could possibly happen.”
This set off a new round of giggles in Minako. Ah but why are you wary at it? The two enjoyed the takoyaki.
“97 degrees Fahrenheit. And this texture…there’s no mistaking it.”
“Alright, out with it!”
“’There are things your kind is better off not knowing.’ So I've been taught, which means…I mustn't. But using THAT for cooking…it’s apparent now why one’s cheeks might fall off.
I figured it was something that I rather- why is he pinching his cheeks? And- ow!
“Yours seem to be in no danger. Thank goodness.”
“That hurt!”
“Oh, I’m so sorry but…aren’t you exaggerating a bit about the pain involved?”
Coming from someone who continued to believe a metaphor…
The two left, Theo receiving a takoyaki shaped cell-phone strap from the worker. Musta liked him.
“Well now, isn’t this charming? Would this be considered…a souvenir of my time with you? How unfortunate. I’ve acquired something precious to me.”
How is that…?
“It’s your fault you realize. That’s why I won’t let you have this.”
O-kay.
The two walked around the strip mall, Minako explaining the various shops and correcting Theo everytime he got something wrong or was nervous about something.
“Thank you for showing me a delightful time today. The flow of time is fixed at a certain speed and yet it seems that there are moments when it passes so quickly.”
And sometimes it moves so slow-
“Oh…that car’s-”
Minako jumped back…with Theo pushing her even more towards the side walk.
“You mustn't allow yourself to become so lost in thought. Now, let us go.”
Tiring. Still some time to hang out with Yukari. And get another quest done. And hello Empusa.
Minako took the time to fuse Omoikane with Inugami to get Tam Lin.
Tam Lin – Lovers A Scottish fairy knight who protected a glen called Caterhaugh. He was once human, but was captured by the Queen of the Fairies and lived as one of them thereafter.
Alright. Now where can I find a ‘shell of a man’
Minako heard noises from the laboratory in the first floor. Two teachers were talking about how to dispose of something. Minako entered and said hello to Ms. Ounishi. It turns out that she was disposing of an older anatomical model. If she promised not to cause any trouble with it, she could have it. And so she did.
Beam Naginata…I like the sound of that.
"Alright Yukari, what’s up?" Tam Lin making her more in line with the Lover.
The two headed out to a flower shop after watching a movie.
“Don’t you feel happy when you go to a flower shop? There’s so many colors and they’re all so pretty. Hey, what’s your favorite flower?”
Haven’t really thought of it. But these are the cutest!
“I like gerbera.”
“I like those too. It’s like they’re cute but full of energy too. I like how they come in so many colors.”
Well, something we have in common.
“Back in the day, my house used to be filled with flowers. My mom really liked flowers, so she always bought a lot of them. She’d always decorate with the one I’d pick, too. That’s probably why I like them so much…but for a while, there was a time that I didn't like seeing flowers. They would bring back memories…and they reminded me that what is beautiful can quickly wither away…but I don’t feel that way lately. I even feel like getting some flowers for my own room.” Yukari chuckled. “I wonder why…I don’t really understand this myself.”
…well I couldn't face certain songs or read certain books for a while after my parents death. In fact, it’s still kinda hard to read a mystery novel…
“That’s it! I’m buying a whole bunch of flowers today! Excuse me! Can you make me a big bouquet for something like 3000 yen? Huh? No!? Oh…for that price, it’ll be a bunch of baby’s breath? Ugh, no thanks.”
“A small bouquet for gerbera for me!” The two went back to the dorm, a second Lovers card sliding into place.
“’sup dude?” Junpei greeted the two girls at the dorm.
“Oh yeah! Mitsuru asked me if I could help prepare Fuuka’s room. Sorry but I gotta go.” Yukari took off.
“That’s good. She’s coming tomorrow then. I can’t wait!” Junpei told Minako. “Oh yeah, I heard Fuuka’s teacher, Mr. Ekoda, got in a lot of trouble. It must've been because of Mitsuru-senpai…Scary huh? Beware the power of Kirijo!”
Minako headed up the stairs, finding Yukari and Mitsuru at the room across from hers.
“This room is filthy, even though no one is living here,” Yukari told Minako. “Please don’t let there be any cockroaches.”
“I apologize for not being able to go to Tartarus two days in a row,” Mitsuru told Minako.
Meh. It’d be next Monday when we went.
“Preparing for Yamagishi’s move has taken longer than I anticipated.”
“Do you need any help from me?”
“No that should be fine. Go ahead if you have plans.”
Might as well review that lesion that I nearly slept through. Not like he goes over much anyway...
Dark Hour
“You’ve prevailed yet again.” The Mysterious Boy appeared again.
“Hello.”
“Do you remember what I said before? About everything coming to an end? Well I recalled something else. I’m fairly sure that the end is inevitable. But, it’s funny. It doesn't seem so certain, considering the vast potential within you. As a matter of fact, your power seems to have changed quite a bit.”
Different Personas I guess.
“Hey, if you don’t mind, can I be your friend? I'm very curious about you…is that okay?”
“Tell me your name first.”
“Name? Oh I see. I need a name. My name is...Pharos. You may call me that if you wish.”
Welp this’ll be an odd friendship.'

Death huh? Why am I not surprised.
“It’s getting late, so I’ll go now. I’m already looking forward to our next meeting. Bye-bye.”
It’s going to be the week before the Full Moon. And he’s gone already. Sleeeep.
