Final Junior Trainer: "I PREVENT GYM LEADER BATTLE."
Now that my team was all level 16, they had an easier time. Swinub was able to Rock Smash the girl's Lillipup, scoring two defense drops in the process. The last one was superfluous since the Lillipup was already one smash away from defeat, but oh well.
Who would have thought Rock Smash would ever have a use?
Omanyte took on the next Lillipup. I decided to try out Rollout. Omanyte's shell protected it while it used progressively stronger Rollouts, defeating the Lillipup easily. For the final Lillipup, Murkrow came in and resisted its Bites while Thieving it to death. TM's are quite useful, even these few weak ones I've gathered. Then I realized that Murkrow has Wing Attack, which is stronger than Thief, and metaphorically kicked myself. I won nevertheless. Which meant it was time to face Lenora. The bookshelf moved aside to reveal stairs.
"Wait, does that mean Lenora was trapped down there, or does she have a switch to move the shelf down there?"
I stepped out to heal, then confronted Lenora. Her room was a tidy looking office.
Lenora: "I AM DIRECTOR OF MUSEUM. MY NAME IS LENORA. I AM ALSO GYM LEADER. I WILL RESEARCH HOW YOU BATTLE WITH POKEMON."
Gym Battle!
Anthony vs. Lenora
"Go, Omanyte!"
Lenora: "I SEND OUT THE HERDIER."
Herdier: "Woof."
Omanyte did what any sensible ammonite would do and used his shell as a wheel to ram Herdier. But not before sustaining a Take Down from the big doggie. Rollout did very little damage, and Herdier relentlessly attacked, taking down Omanyte before he could really get much momentum going. Quilava went out next. Ember did a lot more damage, but at the same time Quilava took a lot more damage from Take Down. And then Lenora used a Super Potion. Annoyed by this, I fed my Quilava some of Clyde's water. Soon Quilava fell, and I sent out Swinub. Swinub was brought all the way down to one health from just one Take Down... but Herdier took itself out from recoil!
Lenora: "RESEARCH FINDS THE STRATEGY."
I let Swinub take a full-powered Retaliate, obliterating the poor piggie. Now it was just Murkrow, Exeggcute, and Riolu vs. a very angry looking Watchog, Lenora's most powerful Pokemon.
I had a clever idea. I sent out Exeggcute, and instead of attacking, began with Reflect. Not that I got to use it, since Watchog hypnotized the Exeggcute. I had to use an Awakening, but then Lenora used two consecutive Crunches on Exeggcute. Murkrow was up next. Murkrow's Insomnia made Hypnosis useless!
Lenora: "THE MURKROW DOESN'T SLEEP."
Unfortunately, while Murkrow was skilled at weakening Watchog, it was taken down by Retaliate. Now it was just Riolu vs. Watchog. Riolu dodged a Hypnosis to Force Palm Watchog, bringing it down to very low health, and then finished it with Quick Attack. Riolu went up to level 18...
"Stop being higher levelled than everyone else!"
Of course, level wasn't the only issue.
Lucario: "Graaoh!"
"D:"
...

Of course, as powerful as Lucario is, I knew I should restrict usage of him so as to let the others keep up.
Lenora: "FIGHTING STYLE IS THE CHARMING. YOU GET THE BASIC BADGE."
-Anthony recieved the Basic Badge from Lenora!-
"Sweet."
Lenora: "ITS DANGEROUS TO GO ALONE. TAKE THIS."
-Anthony obtained a TM67 Retaliate!-
Fawes: "WIFE. PLEASE COME."
"Huh? What's happening."
Fawes: "THE PLASMA IS STEALING BONES!"
Lenora: "WHAT IS GOING ON?"
She and Fawes darted out to the Museum.
I stepped into the museum to see Lenora, Fawes, and Clyde confronting the Plasmorons.
Plasmoron: "That'sss a real nice ssskeleton you got there. It would be a shame if sssomething happened to it..."
They threw down a smokescreen and stole the skull from the Dragonite. When the smoke cleared, Lenora and Clyde chased the grunts while Fawes stayed behind like a coward.
Fawes: "LENORA LOVES THAT SKULL..."
"I'm sorry."
Fawes: "MORE THAN ME."
"Oh... uh, okay."
I approached Lenora.
???: "Good day, Lenora. Find any good fossils lately?"
Lenora: "HELLO BURGH."
Burgh: "Seems hectic or something around here. What's up?"
Lenora: "PLASMA IS THE STEAL EXHIBITION."
Bianca: "Hi everybody! Why the long faces?"
Cheren: "Everyone has long faces? What's going on?"
Lenora: "WE MUST FIND SKULL."
Burgh: "You are... Anthony, is it? Parents were expecting a boy?"
"You could say that..."
Clyde and Lenora departed to the east.
Burgh: "Follow me, we'll go catch the Plasmorons in Pinwheel Forest."
As I left, Bianca shoved a Dowsing Machine down the back of my shirt.
-Anthony obtained the Dowsing MCHN!-
I entered Pinwheel Forest with Burgh.
