Jump the Shark! The Shocking Reveal!!

When we last left our heroes, Happosai is giving Blue Ribbons to several people, draining them of their life energy and turning them into zombies for some reason. Also, Davey chews out Happosai for being a pervert. Let’s see if this is where American Kitsune Jumps The Shark.

Part Seven of Eleven. Eleven. Call Pizza Pizza, hey hey hey!

So Luna concludes that they need to use non-lethal force. After trying to get Davey’s attention by knocking a gun that makes loud noises out of his hands, Luna mentions that she thinks Davey and Serena are related again. This causes them to ponder about that subject in the middle of a battle. They realize that they have better things to do and try to catch Happosai, but he escapes. And the fourth wall is broken a bit.

Serena asks what was going on with the Blue Ribbon Protesters, and Davey tells her about the internet and how he contacted her parents and friends -STOP!

Let’s see what was said in part five...

"I think I'll just water the lawwwwwwahhhhhhhhh!!" Twin spouts of tears came out of Serena's eyes. "I thought it was all a dream—wwahhhhhhh . . ." She tried to remember what happened last night: Somehow, one of the news folks was kind enough to make a phone call to her family and friends to tell them that she's all right. Even Ms. Haruna, her homeclass teacher, offered to excuse all the absences she'll accrue over here—and figure in a passing grade—if Serena comes back with a report of her adventures in America.

WOW. What a retcon. Granted, Davey calling the parents and friends is a better way, but it’s still a retcon. Anyways, Davey then tells Serena that there are... fan art that would make Go Nagi freak. You mean Go Nagai, right? Go Nagi sounds like some spinoff anime of Negima where it focuses on Nagi’s adventures. {looks around, then pulls up a sign saying “MAKE IT HAPPEN, KEN!”}

So Davey has this And Knowing Is Half the Battle thing where he talks about the perverted stuff on the internet, the Telecommunications Bill, and the protesters who oppose the bill. I’m skipping a whole lot of this because this is pretty much an Author Filibuster. Also, I don’t really care about this Telecommunications Bill because I assume it’s over and done with. Sure, it may have been a big dramatic issue back then, but when someone like me who wasn’t involved in that drama reads this filibuster, it will just leave them scratching their heads.

Moving on, they celebrate their battle by eating sushi. They continue their discussion on the “maybe they’re separated from birth” thing. However, Luna mentions that they share the same favourite TV Shows. Uh, yeah... Serena lives IN JAPAN, if you didn’t know. The Fan Fiction establishes this, and yet they still hammer in that she has heard of American shows. However, during this conversation, Davey brings up the fact that Robotnik is his father again, and then mentions his mother. His mom can be best summed up as a female Gendo, always looking down on her son. And it seems that she impregnates herself with Dr. Robotnik’s seed instead of doing the deed. Okay, that’s plausible. She tries to have another kid, but due to a birth defect, she aborted it, then gushes on how much she loves abortions and how she should have aborted Davey. Davey snapped and three days later, his mom died in some anti-abortion protest. Davey then secluded to a fantasy world. This backstory is taking place on Earth however, so how his mother got Robotnik’s seed is a pretty hard to handwave. However, Davey hears from a nurse that she rescued the aborted baby and now the baby has grown into a healthy girl. Then he details the defect. The baby had a crescent on her forehead and a distinctive hairstyle that could be best summed up as “Meatball Head”. Yes. His sister is Serena. I will admit that the way he came to the conclusion is pretty epic. Though how he hasn’t figured that out before is beyond me. And also, this means that Robotnik is Serena’s father... Oooookay... Wait... Hold up...

Doesn’t this contradict that whole “Queen Serenity used the Silver Crystal to revive her daughter and some loyal subjects then sent them into the future” thing? Well, for the sake of my sanity, I'll assume that she sent their souls and not their bodies.

Davey promptly freaks out because now their love is considered incest and that they can never marry. Oh, and in breeding is when siblings have a kid. Luna snarks at the fact that since he’s a redneck, he shouldn’t feel all that conflicted since rednecks usually marry their sisters to begin with. Serena whines on how she is from an anime version of Deliverance. No, just no. First off, Deliverance has nothing to do with incest. The only reason you’re mentioning that is because incest is usually associated in America with rednecks. And really? An anime version of Deliverance? Last I checked, there were Japanese works that have dealt with Brother–Sister Incest. Kana Little Sister, Koi Kaze, Ore Imo, the list goes on. Sure, much of those works have been made after this story, but still, you’d think Serena’s first thoughts of it would be something in line with those works. Not fucking Deliverance.

Moving on, Davey tries to eat Luna for her comment, but soon stopped and everyone laughs. Then Jason, Trini, and Zack pop in. The part ends with the author telling us that this incest will be platonic. Yeah. As platonic as Haruka and Michiru’s relationship in the dub.

Oooh boy, I was right, this is going to suck now. We just read one of the only two things everyone seems to be bitching about, and something tells me that the second item on the list is not too far ahead. Tune in next time as things can only go downhill from here.

Oh, and Edward never did rejoin Serena and Davey like chapter 6 promised. As if we needed any more omens that This Is Gonna Suck.

I'm pretty sure the idea that Sailor Moon's physical body is the child of Robotnik does not contradict the fact that she has the soul of a lunarian princess.

This does not change the fact that babies growing long hair in utero is ridiculous.

Ah, okay then. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yes, the fact that babies growing long hair in utero is very ridiculous, especially if it's for the sake of revealing who she is. Personally, I would have went with Luna saying "Wait, a crescent on her forehead? That must mean...", or something like that.
