* IKnewIt: Several fans called [[spoiler:Hubcap being a spy]] because not only was he a new character, but his quirky personality and tics made it seem too obvious that the narrative was trying to divert suspicion from him.

Trope was cut/disambiguated due to cleanup

* EvilIsSexy: Overlord, with his handsome (for a giant robot) looks and charismatic, almost theatrical mannerisms. Doesn't make him any less scary or creepy, however.

* MoralEventHorizon: [[spoiler:Impactor's deeds at Pova, [[BrokenPedestal to]] [[HeroWorshipper Ironfist]]. These included executing Squadron X, while they were chained and on their knees. It's left up to the reader to decide whether Impactor was justified or not. He becomes much less justified after the backstory for Squadron X was revealed later on (see DesignatedVillain above).]]
** This series could be considered one big horizon crossing moment for Overlord... though if supplementary materials and character reactions are to be believed, he's done ''even worse things than this before.''
** Stalker [[spoiler: torturing Impactor, Springer, and Twin Twist, which ends up resulting in the Jumpstarters' deaths.]]
** [[spoiler: Skyfall]] actually crossed it before the story even began, but you won't realize until the end.

Dork Age was renamed

* ToughActToFollow: Even Nick Roche has acknowledged that Sins has an uphill battle to fight, being the sequel to one of the most acclaimed miniseries in the IDW run. Part of the reason is the climate around the comics; Last Stand came out during what many argue was the DorkAge of IDW, and it made LSOTW look all the better, whilst Sins is coming out amongst much more popular books and has to compete with the sharp upturn in quality.

Foe Yay has been cut

* FoeYay:
** Mesothulas has some very strong emotions about Prowl, starting issue 3 by wanting to show him something naughty. All of his plans revolve around Prowl [[spoiler:and restarting their partnership, calling Prowl his muse. His WeCanRuleTogether speech shows just how much he wants to go back to working with Prowl as they bring out the "best" in each other.]]
-->'''Prowl:''' What '''more''' do you '''want?!'''\\
'''Mesothulas:''' I want '''you'''. I want '''us'''.
** Later on he calls him "my Prowl". Honestly it's barely even subtext by this point.

Propaganda Piece is no longer YMMV, but non-propaganda examples are being removed

** The purpose of the Wrecker's declassified series both in and out of universe. To the Autobots it's a glorious tale of heroism all dedicated to the best of the best in their ongoing dangerous quest in the war against the Decepticons. To the Wreckers themselves it's glamorized stories, embezzling details, and making things seem more dynamic than they are, but at the same time it's endearing and does serve to chronicle their many adventures. The least charitable implication is that it's all just {{propaganda|Piece}} meant to boost morale and glorify a highly defective, hyper violent, cracked team of killers that the Autobots just need to point at their enemies to make their problems go away.
