* AwesomeMusic: The soundtrack for the film is pretty catchy and fun to listen to. A couple examples of this would be [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftlrWiS0Img Le Danse de Maryline]] and [[https://youtu.be/kL37-ch7044 Catch the Joy]]

* HeartwarmingMoments: When Alain gives Marilyn her birthday present, the which she is seen later on enjoying. The Book makes her birthday scene all the more sweeter in that, as she thanks Alan for her gift, she says, "I won't kiss you, of course, but my heart wants to."

* BestKnownForTheFanservice: A lot of people mainly talk about this animated film because of the scene where Marilyn Tuvache dances in the nude while Alain and his friends watch outside her window.

* Headscratchers: Alan arranges to pay his friends for their help in his plan by giving his sister, Marylin a sheer scarf and exotic dance music and telling her about veil dancing. He then positions his friends outside Marylin's bedroom window, so they can watch her dance. How the heck did Alan know Marylian was actually going to dance in her room, like that? Even after Alan told Marylin about veil dancing, her going up to her room and dancing with the scarf on that same night seems like a fairly remote possibility.

* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: Sort of. The movie's target audience is somewhere in the 12-14 years old range and the film certifications vary by country (countries stricter with censorship gave it a content rating system in the 15-18 years range). The fact that British Columbia, Canada slapped this movie with a mere PG-rating is questionable.

* ComplainingAboutShowsYouDontWatch: A number of countries refused to release the film because it supposedly "glorifies suicide". If they had actually watched the film they would have known that while the Tuvaches (sans Alan) romanticise suicide, the film itself clearly shows it in a negative light.
