** Before Luke P, there was Chad Johnson from Jojo's season. The man was a real life Narcissus, and genuinely seemed like he had a personality disorder that left the other Bachelors in danger. Along with being completely volatile, he was openly hostile, making threats against the other men, even one time stating he would hunt down and kill the others after the show was over, and even resorting to violence in one sequence ripping Evan's shirt during a group date with Jojo. Jojo finally sick of his antics, left with Alex during their 2-on-1 date, with Chad genuinely seeming like it was a prank that he got eliminated. Instead of disappearing with dignity, he returned to the mansion, and once again he tried threatening the other men, who finally having enough of his shit, ordered him to leave. When Jojo called him an AttentionWhore during the After Rose Special, the entirety of the men and a majority of the live audience gave her a standing ovation. His behavior on "Bachelor's in Paradise" did not help his reputation. After being consistently drunk, leading to him yelling at Daniel, being extra aggressive with Lace and calling Sarah "A One armed Bitch," the producers and Cris Harrison where finally forced to eject him from the show to the other Bachelor and Bachelorettes relief. Of course Chad took this as well as one might expect, yelling at Chris and trying to provoke him. Chris being a professional took it all in stride. In the end the man just seems to have a few screws loose, that makes his behaviors, while somewhat entertaining, particularly frightening.
** Bentley Williams, during Ashley Herbert's season, for his two faced nature, while gettng Ashley to start falling for him, he admitting he doesn't feel anything for her, stating he doesn't find her attractive, even making a callouse joke of "I'm going to break Ashley's heart, I hope my hair looks okay though, ''ha-ha''."

Watching Ashley cry, while he unintelligibly yammered on his reasons to her of wanting off the show, just made him all the more dick-ish.

* TakeThatScrappy: Hannah's complete tearing down of Luke P, after surprisingly showing up at the final rose ceremony, making it perfectly clear she doesn't want him there, over and over again. Special mentions going torwads her physically lifting up the rose pedestal and walking past him, the other three guys coming forward to support her, and fan favorite Tyler C. delivering a chilling "Or what!" after Luke P threatens the guys to "Get your hands off of me..." leading to Tyler P look completely intimidated at the other three guys.

** Luke P, from Hannah's season (the one currently running as of 2019) is widely regarded as too big a jerk to be even the fun kind of villain. He comes off as rude at best, and has made some very controlling/possessive comments about Hannah's dates with other guys (nothing wrong with him being jealous that he didn't get the "naked bungee-jumping" date, but saying Hannah should have "saved" that for her husband and was disrespecting him by doing it was over the line). He also consistently insults other contestants, denies saying things he ''absolutely'' said, and doesn't seem to know how to properly apologize.

Needless to say, it was all the more satisfying to see the other male contestants and Hannah rip him a new one during the live reunion.

* InternetBackdraft: "STOP FILMING HER" became Bachelor Nation's rallying cry after Season 22 culminated in an excruciating 30-minute close-up of Bachelor Arie breaking up with original winner/new Bachelorette Becca. Many, many fans feel that it was unnecessarily grueling and humiliating, especially because Becca had to watch the footage live on national television.

** Arie Luyendyck Jr. and Lauren Burnham, for various reasons. The first being that many fans found Arie an odd choice to be the Bachelor, as many felt he lacked personality and was too old (while most of the women competing for his affection were at least 10 years his junior), and the fact that it had been ''six years'' since his original appearance in the franchise. The second (and bigger) reason why fans dislike him, was his breakup with original winner, Becca Kufrin, breaking off their engagement ''on camera'', and then proposing to runner-up Lauren at the ''After the Final Rose'' special. Lauren faced much backlash for taking him back despite everything he did. Their behavior since the show hasn't won them many fans in the franchise either.
* StrawmanHasAPoint: The popularity of fan-favorite Peter Kraus during Rachel's season went downhill after he admitted he didn't know if he would feel ready to propose to her. Keep in mind, however, in the early seasons of the show, it was common for the Bachelor to not propose to his pick, and the contestants hardly spend any time with the Bachelor/Bachelorette by the time of the finale, and only go on a handful of dates at most.

** Also, Juan Pablo faced much criticism for the same reasons during his season after he decided not to propose to his winner, Nikki Ferrell, and instead decided to just try a relationship before taking the next step.
* WhyWouldAnyoneTakeHimBack: Lauren Burnham accepting Arie Luyendyck Jr.'s proposal, after he not only broke up with original pick, Becca Kufrin, after weeks of being engaged, but also for how he handled the entire thing.

* BaseBreakingCharacter: basically every contestant to some extent, including:
** some fans like Nick Viall as the Bachelor and felt he was a good choice after having been runner-up on two previous seasons. Other fans cannot stand him for being an AttentionWhore who just wanted to extend his FifteenMinutesOfFame. The fact that he and his winner (Vanessa) broke up not long after doesn't help.
** another Bachelor who much of the fanbase is divided on is Sean Lowe. Some fans loved him for being a Born Again Christian who refused to take advantage of the "fantasy suite" date, while others have criticized him for this reason, as he had had sex before, just not with his girlfriend (now wife).

** In General: Interracial relationships are always a bad idea. Also, only attractive people with a knack for walking between the raindrops deserve a happily ever after.
** For Men: The only surefire way to find love is to be rich, handsome and willing to let a production crew invade your social life. Even then there's no guarantees.
** For Women: Treating men as gift-dispensing trophy boyfriends is only okay when '''you''' do it. Also, you truly are little more than an appliance for men and should dedicate your life to being prettier than all the other girls.
