* FridgeBrilliance: When [[spoiler: [=LeChuck=] gets his voodoo form back]], he goes back to having his original voice actor, [[spoiler: Earl Boen,]], and, from then on, starts to make smarter and more dangerous moves. Basically, [[spoiler: the ''true'' [=LeChuck=] is back]].

* HoYay: Winslow's man-crush on Guybrush. The fans have [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7bVMHRPcgU exaggerated]] this [[{{Understatement}} somewhat]].
** I thought he just loved [[CargoShip the map]], no matter who was touching it.

* LargeHam: Where to start? Most notably there's [=LeChuck=], any character voiced by [[VoiceActors Roger L. Jackson]] (Such as Winslow, and Hemlock [[CrowningMomentOfFunny "FEED 'IM TO THE JUNGLE BEAST!!!"]] [=McGee=]) and, while [[DemotedToExtra she didn't have a very big role in Curse]], Alexandra Boyd brings the house down in ''Tales'' with every line as [[spoiler:poxed]] Elaine and as [[spoiler:Demon-Bride Elaine]].

* MissedMomentOfAwesome: Throughout ''Tales'', a number of characters [[KilledOffForReal actually die]]. Yet, in Part 5, [[spoiler:the only ones you see are Morgan [=LeFlay=], the Spoon Isle Trio and that Pyrite Parrot. There are references to Noogie and Nipperkin, but where are they?!]]
** Not to mention all the other dead characters in the series that could have made a cameo appearance in the Crossroads.

* EpilepticTrees: ''Tales'' is like an incomplete puzzle that invites fans to submit missing pieces: especially regarding the role of the Voodoo Lady in setting the story in motion, and her allegiance and motivation. Also begging to be explained is Elaine's seeming prescience (see "Xanatos Roulette" below, made even more puzzling as [[spoiler: she is not in her right mind most of the game]].) -- people even theorise that Elaine has voodoo-like powers.

* MemeticBadass & MemeticSexGod: Winslow.

* BrokenBase + FanDumb: Oh yes. The TelltaleGames forum was a peaceful and likeable community, until Tales was introduced and the place was overrun by insane loudmouths. Both of the "This sucks compared to the previous games" and "You aren't allowed to dislike it just because it's Monkey Island" varieties.
** It eventually calmed down though and now the place is friendlier than ever. But you STILL get comments on any Tales-related YouTube video saying "omg teh 3d sux dey shud scrap all da work theyve done and redo it all in 2d!!!!!"

* FanDumb: Oh yes. The TelltaleGames forum was a peaceful and likeable community, until Tales was introduced and the place was overrun by insane loudmouths. Both of the "This sucks compared to the previous games" and "You aren't allowed to dislike it just because it's Monkey Island" varieties.

* FridgeBrilliance: Trial and execution of Guybrush, you say? Well, since he just got cleared of charges, I don't think that second part really comes to fruition. [[spoiler:(end of episode) OH SHIT!]]
** When [[spoiler: [=LeChuck=] gets his voodoo form back]], he goes back to having his original voice actor, [[spoiler: Earl Boen,]], and, from then on, starts to make smarter and more dangerous moves. Basically, [[spoiler: the ''true'' [=LeChuck=] is back]].

* MagnificentBastard:
** As of episode 5, this franchise FINALLY has one and it's none other than [[spoiler: Elaine, who obviously acts as a good version (as good as a pirate CAN be, anyway). She laid down an intricate master plan, used her charm back in chapter 2 to make sure Guybrush would play his part in said plan, and repeatedly engaged in swordplay and (in one case) naval warfare to help move things along. Other than not being evil, her actions do this trope proud.]]

* TearJerker: The ending of episode 4. [[spoiler: Elaine and Guybrush's final exchange before he dies; obviously negated somewhat due to his resurrection at the end of the next episode.]]
