Nevermind that Superman tries the ''whole'' movie to explain peacefully why they are mistaken and that the Elite actually tried to ''kill'' him before he decides to actually become violent.

** In all fairness, the point is Superman wants to avoid falling into BewareTheSuperman; if he allowed himself to go beyond the law and kill criminals, what would prevent him from becoming a dictator, killing who he wants and where he wants ?
