* FridgeBrilliance: So what were those apocalyptic visions that were so bad that they drove to JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope? Let's take a more in-depth look... [[spoiler:It was a colorless, stagnant world dominated by order and full of spherical monsters. While TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt is bad enough and could possibly push anyone to try to avert it, when you remember Luc has a pretty intimate connection to somebody who has a True Rune that represents Order and has a circle motif, and that this person just might be the one person Luc hates more than Sasarai, his rather drastic actions to avert such a future make a LOT more sense. Still confused? Luc saw what might actually happen were Hikusaak to succeed in gathering all 27 True Runes, and if one of those True Runes were destroyed, this future becomes impossible to achieve.]]

** Let's not forget Juan and Emily. To elaborate, the battle system allows characters with the right skills to attack several times per turn, and they can move on to other enemies when their enemy falls before their attack string is finished. These two can get more than 10 attacks per round each, with each hit doing roughly 400 damage. Add to that the fact that Juan has a Waking rune attached permanently, which means he's doing at least double damage when he wakes up. The downside is that this means he's going to be sleeping for at least the first round, but you can equip accessories that nullify sleep to just have them demolish absolutely everything you encounter within one round. Even bosses don't last very long against that.

** From his stupid name, to his status as a Millstone and a Tagalong Kid, to the shit-eating grin in his character portrait, nothing Lulu said or did failed to get on This Troper's nerves. Also, with his small size and his habit of picking fights with opponents far more powerful than him, he actually bears an uncanny resemblance to the original Scrappy. ** This is unfortunately subjective--a true MagnificentBastard avoids being hated by the audience anything but reluctantly, and as Albert has little in the way of personality and the success of his schemes can seem to follow more from The Plot Said I Would Win rather than any true displays of genius on his part, plus he ...there are two camps regarding Albert: MagnificentBastard, and SmugSnake of the worst variety.

** The above is of the DiskOneNuke variety of this trope. However, some surprising characters are effectively game breakers if you abuse abilities, titles, equipment etc. Quite possibly the best person in terms of pure destructive terror is a completely optional 15 year old girl. Who needs a True Rune anyway?

* MissedMomentOfAwesome - Peggi. He's a loud, brash lizard, a blacksmith and his official character artwork shows him with a huge hammer that's as big as he is...And he ISN'T a fighting party member?!
** The play mini game given there would be no voice acting until the next game.

Moved all these over to Crowning Moment of Funny

* CrowningMomentOfFunny
** In addition to its Awesome, the manga has a few bits of this in it, mostly when the focus is on Geddoe's group.
--> Ace: "Jeez! Women-- always asking you to get them stuff..."
--> Joker: "Hey, since you're buying--!"
--> Ace: "No way!"
** Geddoe, of all people, gets one in the game when confronting ...
--> Geddoe: "All I know is that you are depraving some poor village of it's idiot."
** If you have Nash to play as Sierra during "Neclord's End" play, he will deliver this line:
--> Nash: It's been a while, eh, Neclord. It's me, 'Old Hag Sierra' - I'm arrogant, never keep promises and suck people's blood at any chance.
** The Theater minigame is a goldmine for these, but try to get the in-game's worst actress into the most dangerous role...it's enough to make you want a silly laugh track.
-->Chris: (with an apple over her head to be shot by William Tell) "What did I do to deserve this?"
*** If you choose an archer character whose skills are not the best, her comment will be justified...
*** Also, Geddoe narrating the heart-wrenching ending to the story of The Little Match Girl:
-->Geddoe: ......The girl has died."
*** Do bad enough in the RomeoAndJuliet play, and the castle falls down.
** Geddoe punching out a villager that was running past him to attack Franz. The event doubles as a CMOA.
** Anytime Branky, Mel's puppet opens its mouth...and the subsequent WHACK! WHACK! WHACK!
** During the attack on Chisha.
--> Apple: "All right, Hallec. You can stop shouting now...Berserker please...stop...
Is there an issue? Send a MessageReason:
Not true, he also opens with, \"....... It\'s the last day of the year.\"

*** The above is pretty much the only spoken line he has in that particular play.
