AST is a trivia trope that requires Word Of God to back it up

* AuthorsSavingThrow: The redemption of the Diamonds, particularly White Diamond was by far the most contentious plot point in the series, especially since it was unclear for a while what they were actually doing to redeem themselves and Steven forgiving everyone who's ever harmed him seems soft. This episode addresses some of those complaints, by demonstrating that the Diamonds have abdicated much of their power and are making a continuous effort to undo the damage they've done, as well as showing Steven ''hasn't'' fully forgiven the Diamonds, and likely never will.

** A certain camp of fans theorized that White looking pink and freaked out was because Steven was somehow mind-controlling her. This episode proves that theory to be correct when it's showcased that White's new power allows other Gems to take over ''her'' body instead.
** One fan on Twitter [[https://twitter.com/MissingGlitch/status/1241870187550425096 expressed interest in]] seeing Spinel sing a reprise of "Change" to Steven to help him with his issues. This exact thing happens in this episode, though it's played more for humor and doesn't really help Steven's mental state.

** A considerable part of the fandom wasn't convinced about the Diamonds being truly redeemed after the events of "Change Your Mind", considering the many atrocious things they committed towards Gemkind in the past and the attitude they displayed in the movie, that made them look like they only stopped their reign of terror to convince Steven to stay on Homeworld because of how much he reminded them of Pink. This episode cements how much the Diamonds have changed for the good. They not only abandoned their harmful ways, now they are actively helping broken and troubled Gems to recover and be better.
** The Zircons from "The Trial" had not appeared since they were poofed in their debut episode (barring a ''possible'' cameo blink-and-you-miss-it in the movie, but it isn't confirmed to be them), leading many to worry about what happened to them. This episode confirms beyond a shadow of a doubt that they're alive and well--and apparently, they're running for office!
** Blue Diamond having a solo song at last, letting Music/LisaHannigan show her chops after she was relegated to harmonies and ensemble numbers in the movie.
