* ToughActToFollow: If it wasn't clear enough yet, complaints that ''Forces of Destiny'' isn't as good as ''The Clone Wars'' and ''Rebels'' are commonplace. In addition, there have also been comparisons to Tartakovsky's ''[[WesternAnimation/StarWarsCloneWars Clone Wars]]'', which were also animated shorts.

Alternatively, you could view the added focus of male characters as akin to how male characters still play major roles in other shows targeted towards girls, such as ''Franchise/{{Barbie}}'', ''WesternAnimation/DCSuperheroGirls'', ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'', and so forth -- the focus is still on girls, but it doesn't hurt to have boys around.

This means that while the girls are still the primary stars of the show, the boys can still be heroes too.

Similarly, there's been complaints that it doesn't look good on Hera and Padmé when they only appear as side characters to the other female characters like [[EnsembleDarkhorse Sabine and Ahsoka]].
