* DemonicSpiders: The Big Bull has a giant hammer that it likes to swing in a big circle to knock you down. It's hard enough on its own, but when you have two... Half Brutes are just as bad, since they're invincible until they discharge their electricity at you. Skull Swordsmen can also serve this role-they are quick to attack, and quick to parry. Stay out of their melee range for too long, and they'll conjure a spirit that will hunt you down and deals heavy damage if it hits you.

* ThatOneBoss: The Geb Queen. Her attacks deal an obscene amount of damage and she is completely invulnerable unless bitten by (and here's the punchline) Mook small spiders that Sphinx must release. Doesn't sound too bad, right? Well, that's before the Geb Queen decides to start summoning an endless stream of Skull Swordsmen. Not hard enough yet? The Skull Swordsmen will also actively target and kill the spiders to stop you from even getting a chance to hit the Geb Queen. So in other words, you have to get rid of her henchmen, release the spiders, make sure that the spiders survive long enough to give you a chance to hit the Geb Queen, and survive a barrage of enemy attacks that will drain your health faster than you can say "Ragequit FFFFFFUUUUU--".

Oh, and how do you get the spiders to spawn in the arena in the first place? You need her to curse you into a frog form, allowing you to leap up to the area where the spiders are caged, whereby you need to hit two pressure plates to open the respective cages... While one of the death rays from the Heliopolis beach pelts you with damage.

** Getting all of the four minigame medals so you can exchange them for a unique monster. Three of them are fairly easy, but the Gauntlet is by far the most frustrating. The challenge involves navigating and avoiding large walls with holes in them moving toward you, while making your way down the corridor, destroying 4 statues, and reaching the goal. The first level is trivial, as all the statues are on ground level and the walls are very easy to navigate. The second is a nice challenge, adding verticality and a few new bigger walls to reach the upper levels. The third, however, is borderline impossible by design. Not only are the statues on both the ground level and upper levels, but the previous walls are all replaced with small buildings that are built in such a way that you will need to run the opposite direction to get through some of them, and some are purely meant to slow you down and impede progress without helping you reach any statues. Add to that the game placing them in a randomized pattern, and you can find yourself losing on the first obstacle because you couldn't run through the halls fast enough before they plummet over the lava pit near the start.

* GoddamnBats: The little tomato-looking Cyclops. Their modus operandi involves suddenly appearing, shooting you with a laser beam, back-flipping to avoid your revenge swing, and disappearing. When you do manage to hit the thing, it will split in two mini-tomatoes. Fortunately, striking it a second time will kill it.

* EnsembleDarkhorse: Most reviews of the game note that the Mummy is an infinitely more charming and likable character that Sphinx; his puzzles even seem to have much better designs than Sphinx's. At least one reviewer noted that they'd have prefered a game based on him. Story-wise, the main hero isn't given much characterization beyond being the standard fantasy "ChosenOne". And while Sphinx's portions of the game are enjoyable, they're ultimately a Zelda clone with added jumping. However the mummy's tragic origin and the BigBad's personal crimes against him allows players to invest more in his story. That's not even mentioning his fun gameplay sections are an entirely new concept that take advantage of his newfound undead state.
