* EndingFatigue: One small criticism is the length of the game. An average run takes about 2 hours and 40 minutes, which feels too long by ShootEmUp, RailShooter, and RunAndGun standards. You could be watching a movie with a runtime like that. Not helping much is that most of the stages are Marathon Levels, complete with Marathon Bosses.

* EndingFatigue: One small criticism is the length of the game. An average run on Easy Mode alone takes about 2 hours and 40 minutes, which feels too long by ShootEmUp, RailShooter, and RunAndGun standards. You could be watching a movie with a runtime like that. Not helping much is that most of the stages are Marathon Levels, complete with Marathon Bosses. A full run of the game is also enough to drain the Wii Remote's battery.

* ItsShortSoItSucks: One of the most common criticisms of the game play is that it takes too long to finish all of it. The other most common criticism of the game play is that it takes too little time to finish all of it. The save feature is there for people who think too long, the multiple modes and admittedly punishing difficulty for those who thinking too short, but you can't please everybody.

** In Stage 5, your character mounts either a hover-cycle or a Ruffian mount. Problem is, this is also the only stage in the game where contact with side walls stuns you for a few seconds.

The first example describes a moment with plot significance. The second one isn't really that bizarre given the game's setting.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment:
** Stage 4 almost counts as a BizarroEpisode, since it takes place in a haunted forest with some of the weirdest enemies and Keepers in the game, most of which wouldn't fit in anywhere else. Despite this, it still features a Nebulox fight, so it's not too distanced from the rest of the game.
** In Stage 6, one of the bosses you kill spits a newborn baby version of itself out of its mouth. This newborn instantaneously seizes control of a crane, grabs your partner, and then attempts to submerge them in lava. You free your partner, who seems to be emotionally just fine afterwards despite the constant danger of lava submersion, and then dispose of the little twerp. This moment is never brought up again afterwards, despite being the last Keeper fight in the game.

There is no way this is accidental. The full line is "I'm really going to enjoy this. Prepare to bleed", and it's said while Deko strokes his hair.

* AccidentalInnuendo: Deko's "Prepare to bleed" line in his third phase, coupled with his shirtlessness and cuffing of Isa makes him sound like he's about to go full-on BDSM on the poor kid.

** Stage 6, on account of its sheer length, brutal and durable enemies, and plethora of bosses, two of which have NonstandardGameOver conditions that can be triggered regardless of remaining health. The whole deal takes about 35 minutes, and that's if you don't die and have to reload a checkpoint.
