** Some of the Sidemen's reactions on Twitter (Josh, JJ, Vik, and Tobi; the two Cals also expressed grief) to the unfortunate death of Music/ChristinaGrimmie are bound to get people emotional.
--->'''Josh ([[https://twitter.com/ZerkaaHD/status/741596991097016320 1]])''': We lost a fellow [=YouTuber=] today, heartbreaking news. Shot dead after her concert during a meet and greet. 💔 #[=RIPChristinaGrimmie=]\\
'''JJ ([[https://twitter.com/KSIOlajidebt/status/741557616275562496 1]], [[https://twitter.com/KSIOlajidebt/status/741558338022985728 2]])''': Fuck man, that's such a fucking shit way to die. AH MAN 😞😞😞 #[=RIPChristina=]. Why the fuck would someone do that? She's literally the same age as me and because some weird fucking cunt wanted to just ruin her thing she's now dead. Ah man fucking bullshit\\
'''Vik ([[https://twitter.com/Vikkstar123/status/741525394306793472 1]], [[https://twitter.com/Vikkstar123/status/741526257238708224 2]])''': So young & so talented. Devastating. #[=RIPChristina=] It pains me to even think such heartless people can exist.\\
'''Tobi ([[https://twitter.com/Tobjizzle/status/741614252092469248 1]], [[https://twitter.com/Tobjizzle/status/741614865752678401 2]])''': #[=RIPChristina=] I can't remember the last time I cried. Actually heartbroken.
** The 2017 Manchester Arena bombing after an Music/ArianaGrande concert was made sadder and far more personal for the Sidemen since [[https://twitter.com/ZerkaaHD/status/867717133106634752 one of the bombing's victims was a fan of the group]]. However, this did end up with some good being put back into the world, since Tobi got together with some of the fan's relatives and asked his fans to help get the Music/{{Oasis}} song "Don't Look Back in Anger" to #1 as a tribute to the fan (as it was her favorite Oasis song) and the rest of the victims.

* CrossesTheLineTwice: A ''lot'' of their humour. The ''Sidemen Sunday'' sub-series ''Sidemen Tinder in Real Life'' and ''20 Women vs 1 Sidemen'' are especially notable for all the risqué things they say to the women appearing in them.

* PeripheryDemographic: '''''Like you wouldn't believe.''''' Despite their edgy, at times off-colour, and generally inappropriate humour, their audience is composed mostly out of ''preteens''. This makes videos captured of their live shows ''really awkward'' to watch, as the crowd is literally ''all kids''. In fact, having such a periphery demographic came back to bite them years later when KSI used a racial slur[[note]]For those unaware, it's a shortening of the word "Pakistani" historically used against South Asians in general.[[/note]] as a ''Series/{{Countdown}}'' answer in an April 2023 Sidemen Sunday video; although the slur was censored, KSI speaking it and the panel's shocked laughter were widely criticised not only for the slur in of itself, but also trivialising the extremely hurtful nature of the word to their younger fans.

** Previously over, of all things, the surnames of Josh and Tobi. Edit wars have happened on the [[TheWikiRule Sidemen Wiki]] over whether their respective last names are Zerker and Lerone (as the two say they are), or Bradley and Brown (as some random anonymous commentator who claimed to have known them from their school years said, which another wiki user did some research to confirm this). This has eventually died down as more evidence confirmed that, yes, their last names are Bradley and Brown; the latter eventually fessed up and now acknowledges it, while it took the former a long time to eventually admit it.

** [=GudjonDaniel=],[[note]]Icelandic ex-[=YouTuber=] Guðjón Daníel, who became infamous for using KSI to gain views and subscribers.[[/note]] Sam Pepper,[[note]]Infamous [=YouTuber=] who was known for his prank videos (and prior to that, being a housemate on the eleventh UK series of ''Series/BigBrother''). He gained infamy (especially in his native UK) for a 2014 prank video which he used a fake hand to pinch females' buttocks and was promptly accused of sexual harassment, especially after some women came out saying that he acted inappropriate towards them. Then in 2015, he uploaded a video where he tricked a friend into thinking that he was watching one of his friends being killed right in front of him, which Pepper was lambasted for needlessly torturing the person. Pepper quit [=YouTube=] and social media a couple months after the latter video, though he has since returned primarily as a vlogger.[[/note]] and Keemstar.[[note]]Mostly for mispronouncing a lot of things like calling Simon as "Miniminer", although this didn't stop the Sidemen from inviting him to participate in their charity football matches.[[/note]]

** "Sidemen Series/FamilyFortunes" is this ''in spades'', given that Randolph jokingly calling WebVideo/{{Deji}}'s channel "dead" ultimately led to the infamous and serious brother beef between JJ and Deji that ran for several months. In other words, a game of ''Series/FamilyFeud'' led to an ''actual'' family feud.
