* FoeYay: First of all, Hilary Faye is pretty obsessed with Cassandra and getting her saved. Secondly, Cassandra seems oddly comfortable with telling Hilary Faye the details of her sex life while pretending to get saved.

* LesYay: Tia's slavish devotion to Hilary Faye. Oh god, poor Tia. [[RealitySubtext Not helping matters]] is that [[Creator/HeatherMatarazzo Tia's actress]] is herself openly lesbian. However, despite this, [[spoiler:it's Tia who ultimately proves Hilary's guilt by saving a receipt that Hilary had crumpled with Hilary's signature on it]].

The trope was cut by this thread. Also, that example needs more context

* {{Moe}}: Mary.
* SupposedlyRebelliousSeries: Starts off with characters being persecuted in a small town for being gay, liberal, atheist, Jewish, or otherwise different. Then at the end one of the characters has a baby and decides there must be a God after all. Needless to say, the people who wanted to watch an atheist AuthorTract were severely pissed off. More optimistically, you could say that the plot managed to TakeAThirdOption. The ultimate message of Saved is not that Christianity is wrong, it's that American Evangelicals are doing Christianity wrong.
