* CompleteMonster: [[EvilChancellor The Vizier]] from the ''Sands of Time'' series is the TreacherousAdvisor of the Maharajah of India and the [[BigBad main antagonist]] of the [[VideoGame/PrinceOfPersiaTheSandsOfTime first]] and [[VideoGame/PrinceOfPersiaTheTwoThrones third]] games. [[VideoGame/BattlesOfPrinceOfPersia In flashbacks]], he abducts the wife of daeva prince Saurva to compel the latter to steal the Box of One Thousand Restraints from the Persians, knowingly causing the war between Persians and daevas, and murdering the hostage even after his demands have been met, then seals Saurva and his entire army inside the box. Infatuated with Saurva’s sister Sindra, he subsequently attempts to make her his wife then curses her with madness upon refusal. Suffering an incurable illness, he [[ImmortalitySeeker seeks immortality and godhood]], and is [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder willing to betray everyone]] to achieve his plans. He first betrays the Maharajah by killing the gatekeeper, allowing the Persian army to take the city. The Vizier later tricks the Prince into causing the Sands of Time to spread across a Persian city and turn the population into sand monsters. When the Prince rewinds time to warn Princess Farah, the Vizier plots to kill them both and tell the Maharajah that his daughter has been killed by the son of his enemy. When the Prince accidentally undoes the Vizier's death, the latter, leading an army, murders the Maharajah, takes over the kingdom, and [[IHaveYouNowMyPretty captures Farah]] before he mercilessly sacks Babylon and has King Sharaman killed. When the Prince returns home with the Empress of Time Kaileena, the latter is abducted and killed, causing the Sands of Time to reappear again and turn the Vizier's entire army into monsters. Using the Dagger of Time to make himself immortal as the renamed [[AGodAmI God of Time]], [[OneWingedAngel Zurvan]], he allows his generals to commit atrocities on the civilians such as taking them to the arena or locking a bunch of people in a burning building while he personally kills the remains of the resistance. In the final act of the game, he abducts Farah in order to forcibly transform her into his immortal queen.

to:

* RatedMForMoney: ''Warrior Within'' wasn't which ramped up the rating to M -- by adding gushers of blood, foul language, sadomasochistic enemies, and a Prince embittered and hardened by running for his life for seven years. One of the most blatant cases of this trope on record. Series creator Jordan Mechner, who had a hand in ''Sands of Time'', has been vocal about his disapproval of Ubisoft's sequels.

** While the glowing save points in ''The Sands of Time'' give the Prince many helpful visions of the future, some of them are pretty much Nightmare Fuel. One example is [[spoiler:when Farah is about to fall off a cliff with the Dagger of Time, and the Prince tries saving her from a terrible fate]]. Another is when another vision shows the Prince trying to walk through the [[BoobyTrap booby-trapped]] corridor, only to get [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill cut by the two wall-blades and pushed onto the spikes that quickly impale him on his back before he falls onto the floor and dies, eyes closed]]. That death, however, is easily avoided, since he's [[SchmuckBait not stupid enough to fall for such traps]] thanks to his abilities.
