** Seeing that the adoptive lesbians parents seem to be the most decent and grounded characters in the film, Waters may have been making a point about how ridiculous it would be to consider them inappropriate parents. Keep in mind, Waters and several other members of the cast and crew were homosexual or at least bisexual.

*** Keep in mind that the babies were conceived via abduction and rape. Also, the payments from the lesbian couples is used by the Marbles to finance heroin dealers who target inner-city elementary schools.

This really doesn\'t make sense. Surely it\'s bad whether the parents are gay or wealthy or not.

*** The lesbian aspect of the adoption ring ties into the overall nightmare fuel aspect of it: imagine being kidnapped, raped until you get pregnant, held in a pit for nine months and fed a diet of tranquilizers to keep you quiet, then to have the delivery of said baby purposely blotched to cause you die after the kid is born. And that said kid doesn't go to some wealthy couple, but to a homosexual couple. The only thing keeping it from going full tilt towards unfortunate implications is that A. The lesbian couple are probably the only decent folks in the film and B. The fact that the gay clients of the Marbles are purposely kept in the dark about exactly HOW the Marbles procure the infants they adopt.

* TearJerker: Yes, of all films! Admittedly, [[spoiler: Divine's reaction to seeing her trailer, her home, burning in the ground was quite the [[MoodWhiplash whiplash]]. She dropped to her knees, crying uncontrollably. Even in a WorldOfHam movie like this, the way she acted was still pretty damn convincing. Worse, after they vowed that the criminals will not make it out alive and leave, the scene ends with the shot of the trailer collapsing, literally burning down to the ground.]]
