* SugarWiki/DevelopmentHeaven: The game was conceived of by its creators of being a relaxing, fun RPG that anyone could enjoy. To that end, not only did they devise a unique one-handed control scheme with attacks performed purely through control stick combos--so the player could play while doing other things--they also decided to ''completely eschew'' the high fantasy style favored by most [=RPG=]s, to the point of designing abstract monsters based on ''parts and machinery'' rather than animals or mythical creatures. The level of detail that went into the game's world and history is also astounding: There are museums filled with ''real artworks'' designed by the game's staff, the dances and choreography performed in-game were mo-capped from real professional dancers, and the music was all performed live. The game itself is set within a fictional society where one's station in life is based off how much "work" one does, and explores both the pros and cons of the situation. The game is often compared to ''Videogame/EarthBound'' for the sheer detail that went into every aspect of it.

Already an Awesome Music page.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Probably the most memorable thing about the game is its incredible soundtrack. The same dev team that made this also made the [=PS2=] port of ''VideoGame/DragonQuestV'', so they probably learned a few things from the original composer. Music by [[Creator/HitoshiSakimoto Basis]][[Creator/MasaharuIwata cape]].

We\'re zapping Needs More Love, as per Ask The Tropers.

* NeedsMoreLove
** Didn't even break 75,000 units. ''Worldwide.'' Oddly enough, sold better in the states than in Japan.
* SidetrackedByTheGoldSaucer - The game has a vast number of jobs, only some of which need to be done for plot advancement. Sure the world needs to be saved, but it can wait until you're certified as a pop idol.

* HilariousInHindsight: One poster in the reception area for the concert hall is for a band with a stark-looking logo, all in lowercase letters and ended off with a period, named "happy." Wonder if they sound anything like Music/{{fun}}?
