* StrawmanHasAPoint: Solomon Lane and John Lark's rambling about how the world is messed up at the core and needs to be rebuilt from scratch is meant to be a ramblings of madmen, except that this statement would only apply in the real world. Meanwhile, Earth in ''Mission: Impossible'' had to be [[TheWorldIsAlwaysDoomed constantly saved]] by Hunt from mass destruction [[JustInTime at the last minute or even second]] over the course of just ''seven years'' from villains with terrifyingly easy access to nuclear weapons while the IMF gets constantly disavowed by the very people they were supposed to save and serve. This means that the only reason the world isn't already an apocalyptic wasteland is due to the IMF's efforts alone.

* WinTheCrowd: The first trailer unanimously did this, due to the amazing stunts and catchy Music/ImagineDragons song that completely fits with the main "Mission Impossible" theme.

* SugarWiki/CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming:
** There's some very subtle heartwarming in the "I know you have your reasons" scene; if you listen ''very'' closely, you can hear that Ethan's full line is "I ''never'' wanted to hurt you." He even reaches out to hold her hand when he says it, though it's not fully visible on camera.
** The reunion between Ilsa and Ethan during the HospitalEpilogue. They barely say a word to each other, but they don't have to. The glowing looks on their faces and the tender way they touch each other say more than enough.
** Just to make the above scene sweeter, Julia [[spoiler:implicitly gives her blessing to Ethan and Ilsa's budding relationship]].

** The reunion between [[spoiler:Ilsa and Ethan]] during the HospitalEpilogue. They barely say a word to each other, but they don't have to. The glowing looks on their faces and the tender way they touch each other say more than enough.

** The sole fact that Creator/AngelaBassett played Amanda Waller several years before. She starred in the [[Film/GreenLantern 2011 film]] adaptation of ''Green Lantern'' and met to have played the role onwards, with that film being the launch of a DC cinematic universe. It didn't, but that movie's Waller ended up interacting with the Franchise/DCExtendedUniverse Superman.
