* TheWoobie: While any of the 3 main characters could count, a special mention goes to [[spoiler: Myon's/Yan's mother, who essentially was left unconscious in a bar, swoon away by a womanizer (whom she married and had her children with) who would eventually cheat on her, and then eventually get threatened by yakuza because of the womanizer screwing around with Atsu's girlfriend]].

* TheWoobie: While any of the 3 main characters could count, a special mention goes to [[spoiler: Myon and Yan's mother, who essentially was left unconscious in a bar, swoon away by a womanizer (whom she married and had her children with) who would eventually cheat on her, and then eventually get threatened by yakuza because of the womanizer screwing around with Atsu's girlfriend]].

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The epic drum solo accompanying the sequence makes it even more memorable.

* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: One of the very last sequences in the film involves Nishi and the others [[spoiler:booking it out of the mouth of a gigantic dying whale. It begins with them rowing a ''motor''boat as hard as they can, and when that fails, they literally sprint on top of a giant tsunami wave, coming to grips with shortcomings in their past that almost cost them their lives, all the while dodging an ocean liner, a train, a tank, a 747, a stories-high skyscraper, ''''and'''' a fireball explosion on the way out.]] It's a really visceral and primal viewing experience, to say the least.
