** On the othe side of the coin, Casey is far less of a LargeHam than Adam, which has made some prefer his style.

What does this have to go with grossing people out again?

** Even just seeing the gargantuan foods for some people-aren’t there children starving in Africa?

* ReplacementScrappy: For some, Casey Webb is a poor successor to Adam Richman, especially during challenges. Whereas Adam would take time to critique his meals (commenting on the flavors, textures, which parts are harder to eat, etc.), Casey simply makes loud exclamations about there being too much food or the spice being too much to handle.

** Watching competitive eater Joey Chestnut crush the 18-inch long, five-pound "Burritozilla" in just over three minutes in the San Jose episode counts as this or a CrowningMomentOfAwesome depending on your tolerance for watching enormous amounts of food get mashed in extremely short periods of time.

As the mileage really DOES vary on this one. And no, it does count as a reasonable statement to make. It's exactly how this show is seen in Britain.

Added DiffLines:

* NationalStereotypes: To people outside the USA, this show tends to reinforce the idea that a goodly proportion of Americans are morbidly obese waddling gutbuckets. Given that the ''normal'' food serving is several times larger than comparable eateries in Europe - even ''before'' Adam gets onto the food challenge super-dupa-mega American Excess-style serving, this is not unreasonable. Those Americans trying to challenge the stereotype that most citizens are visibly obese have an extra hill to climb, now that this show is seen widely in Europe.
** Over the course of four series, not very surprisingly, Adam visibly porks out. A lot. Just watch a distinctly obese Adam Richman cheerleading in the Brick Lane Curry house (a little bit of Indian Britain exported to the USA?)
*** None of this seems to stop him from [[ChickMagnet being surrounded by adoring female fans.]]

* ItsTheSameNowItSucks: Most of the series is practically the same thing. Adam sees new food and just eats it. Winning the challenge excluded, not many of the episodes mix things up.

moving moments to various moment subpages.

* AwesomeMoments: In Anchorage, Alaska for the "Kodiak Arrest" challenge. 7 lbs. worth of food, including dessert. Adam became the first person ever to finish the challenge and technically did it in just over half an hour. Out of an initial 90-minute time limit, he spent the first 15 doing nothing but break open 3 lbs. of crab legs, and he finished the entire meal with about 43 minutes to spare.
* FunnyMoments: From the "Stupid Wings" Challenge, Adam: (When pointing to the chef who is preparing said wings after he just added [[FireBreathingDiner pure]] [[FireBreathingDiner capsaicin]] [[BlazingInfernoHellfireSauce extract]] to an already [[BlazingInfernoHellfireSauce hotter than hell]] wing recipe) "You're a dick."
** "Where's the deep-fried insulin?"
** When watching spicy sushi rolls being prepared with the seeds of tiny red Chinese peppers:
--->'''Chef''': But it's not a [[ArchEnemy ghost chili]].
--->'''Adam''': Look, [[JudgeJudy don't pee on my head and tell me it's raining.]] [[ThisIsGonnaSuck I know it's going to kill me.]]
* HeartwarmingMoments: In "Hartford, Conn's" "Randy's Stuffed Pizza Challenge"; when Adam started to falter on his half of the challenge, his challenge partner, Greg "The Great Moomsie" Molumi, stepped in and helped Adam polish off the renaming pizza crusts (after having finished his ''five pound'' portion of stuffed pizza). They completed the challenge with ''one second'' to go.

\"This troper\" is completely unacceptable.

* {{Squick}}: Watching Adam get the "meat sweats" from too much hamburger, or watching him suffer though one of the 'spicy challenges' has made some tropers avert their eyes from the screen, upon occasion.
