I think it fits better under US because it's talking about unintended sympathy towards the tourists, rather than unsymapthy towards the animals.

** ''WesternAnimation/MadagascarEscape2Africa'': [[NeverMessWithGranny Nana]] is a seemingly innocuous old lady who loses her unpleasant demeanour from her previous appearances but proves herself to be one of the toughest characters within the series. After the Penguins rob her tourist group's jeep, Nana heads into the woods to avoid being eaten by animals where she meets other stranded groups. Rallying the humans to become survivors, Nana has them be able to create an inhabitable land for them--building a dam to conserve water and having the villagers hunt animals for food. When the humans capture Alex, Nana almost has him cooked to be eaten, commending the other survivors for the capture. After attempting to shoot both Alex and Zuba after their performance--noting it to be beautiful--Nana [[DefiantToTheEnd stares down the plane as it comes to crash into the dam with no fear]]. Surviving the hit and noticing [[HateSink Makunga]] holding her handbag, Nana beats the SmugSnake and leaves the film dragging him by the ear.

* EvenBetterSequel: The first movie got mixed reviews, but each sequel improved on its predecessors according to critics, especially the third movie.
* SoOkayItsAverage: None of the movies are ''bad'' in a traditional sense, they're entertaining and inoffensive. But the stories and characters are considered to be somewhat one-dimensional; general consensus is that one can only enjoy the movies when one prefers comedy and timing over a good story.

Dont Explain The Joke is In Universe Examples Only, also an acronym is the other way around.

** In the original English during the first film's MeadowRun scene, Marty says: "Sugar Honey Ice Tea!" ([[DontExplainTheJoke it's an acronym]]). In the Spanish dub, he says: "‎Miércoles!" ("Wednesday"), a common Spanish euphemism for "tercoles" (and "mierda" is Spanish for "shit", so the acronym joke is replaced with a [[LastSecondWordSwap Last Second Vowel Swap]]). In the Croatian dub, he ''straight up'' says "shit" (the English word, not the translation) and mixes it with "šibam ja dalje" (roughly "I'm outta here") where the first word incorporates the English word, essentially creating a bilingual pun.

* SugarWiki/SuperlativeDubbing: The Russian dub is often considered to be superior the original English version. It makes excellent usage of Russian slang and idioms and a lot of line deliveries have more energy compared to the original.

Critical Research Failure is a disambiguation page

* CriticalResearchFailure: While the Central Park Zoo does house penguins, it does not house lions, zebras, hippos, giraffes or chimpanzees. [[ShownTheirWork It did feature large animals at one point]], however, so the filmmakers gave New York in the first film a 60's feel. [[note]]For those who want to see those animals in [[BigApplesauce New York]], go to the Bronx Zoo. [[/note]]

1. That era was not an alienating era for Dream Works. 2. The reception seems to be mostly unchanged, with it kinda down the middle and mildly positive since release

* VindicatedByHistory: When the first film was released, it got mixed reviews from critics. Nowadays, many people consider it to be one of the better films from Dreamworks' DorkAge.
