Iceaura39 is a 19 year old male situated in England, who writes fantasy/comedy books on Wattpad as a hobby. Adamantly refuses to use a different username on any medium.

Here are some tropes associated with Iceaura39:

  • Berserk Button:
    • IRL, I don't like being accused of things at all. If I'm actually innocent of what I'm being accused of, this gets turned Up To Eleven.
    • Hypocrites, the one of the best ways to get on my nerves. Especially if it involves judging me for failing to live up to standards that you yourself don't meet.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: While I'm not dumb, I consider motivation to be my biggest weakness.
  • British Humour: I'm English, and I have a very dry wit, usually defaulting to Sarcasm Mode and having a penchant for Black Comedy. You can tell through the narration of my books. My online persona takes this up to eleven, being a hell of a lot more comedically smug and edgy.
  • British Stuffiness: Well, I'm English and I'm The Stoic. I guess I technically fit this trope.
  • Brits Love Tea: In a sense, but I prefer coffee.
  • Central Theme:
    • I've noticed most of my books take the stance that the Sunk Cost Fallacy is bullshit. I guess that could be considered an overarching theme in these stories.
    • Another common Aesop is the importance of breaking away from abusive parental figures. Let's just say that Abusive Parents are very Acceptable Targets for me and leave it at that.
  • Chaotic Neutral: The alignment I take on in Aesir: Cross Wars as the impish, fickle narrator with an Omniscient Morality License.
  • Deadpan Snarker: I consider this my defining trait. An incredibly sarcastic person, my demeanour even leaks into the narration of my books occasionally.
  • Four-Temperament Ensemble: Phlegmatic/Melancholic IRL. I have trouble emoting at times, but generally remain calm and rational, while keeping up a good humour. I like to replace the Melancholic with Sanguine in my online persona, though. It's funnier that way.
  • Grammar Nazi: I won't deny it. I try to make sure my grammar is as immaculate as it can be (success is debatable) and will sometimes correct people online.
  • Heroic Fantasy: The genre I like to write.
  • Lawful Good: The alignment I tend to get on most online alignment tests. But it's strange. Upon reflection, I've found that I can easily call myself Lawful and Good separately, but actively identifying as Lawful Good feels...weird.
  • Leitmotif: Consider mine Another F.U. Song until the world gets better.
  • Mean Character, Nice Actor: I'm generally a kind, if snarky person, but then there's my role as the narrator of Aesir: Cross Wars...
  • Old Shame: The previous renditions of my stories were...bad. If there's one thing I can say I'm proud of, it's being able to salvage the mess and create something better out of it.
  • Online Alias: Well, what do ya bloody think?
  • Pet-Peeve Trope: As a writer, I have a couple of these, but the most notable goes to the following:
    • The Hundred Percent Adoration Rating trope when used on a character who fails to deliver on the other end of the screen. For me, it just strikes me as the author trying to shill a character who can't actually stand on their own merits.
    • Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil is often just a lame way to make the villain hateable, and one that I personally consider off-limits in my own writing. More often than not, it is just a piece of shock value, and the same narrative effect can often be achieved with less disgusting methods.
  • Scary Musician, Harmless Music: I don't know if my unemotional, Nightmare Fetishist exterior makes me easy to approach, but it certainly makes the Heroic Fantasy, comedic stories I write seem more glaring.
  • Sliding Scale of Idealism Versus Cynicism: While very pessimistic in my day-to-day life, my stories tend to lean more towards the former side of the spectrum. Even my most cynical story, The Spectrum Game, has idealistic undertones.
  • Sliding Scale of Silliness vs. Seriousness: Here, my stories hover somewhere in the middle, leaning slightly towards Silly. They aren't stupid or complete parodies, they tend to have attempts at deep, serious storylines, and I definitely do my research on the subject matter, but at the same time, they're very comedic worlds of snark, and two of the three I'm currently working on have No Fourth Wall.
  • The Stoic: Not very openly emotional. Smiling does feel weird sometimes.
  • Trademark Favourite Food: Let's just say I really like my coffee - mainly sweetened - and leave it at that. I'm partial to lattes in particular.
  • True Art Is Angsty: I do not agree with this notion, and while I'm okay with people not reading my books, if this is your sole reason, you can bet I'll be a tad disappointed.
