* NoExportForYou: The albums before ''The Arockalypse'' pretty much have to be sent for, including, funnily enough, ''The Monsterican Dream''. This was thankfully averted after they toured Ozzfest, as ''Get Heavy'' and ''The Monsterican Dream'' can be found in the U.S. with a little effort.
* ThePeteBest: Lordi had two bassists before their initial success with ''Get Heavy'', G-Stealer, who only played on the unreleased first album and Magnum, who played bass in the album and appeared in the "Would You Love a Monsterman" music video.
** Kalma, Magnum's replacement did all the bass on ''The Arockalypse'', but left and got replaced by Ox shortly before the release of the album.

* ThreeChordsAndTheTruth: The instrumentation and compositions of most of their songs are very simple and straightforward. For example, the opening riff for 'Would you Love a Monsterman' consists of only two power chords.
* VindicatedByHistory: Some Finnish people thought having them as their entry in the Series/EurovisionSongContest would be a national embarrassment. They ended up winning it.
* UnPerson: Every time a member leaves the group, the promotional material featuring them is replaced by newer material and all mention of them is removed from the website. The only way to find out information about older members is by searching through fansites.
** Averted with Kalma, however, as he has made a few guest appearances after leaving the group.

* ItsPopularNowItSucks: While the Eurovision victory brought them incredible fame and success, it also alienated some of the old, "hardcore" fandom. Their later album sales in Finland (Babez for Breakfast sold remarkably less compared to its predecessor Deadache) may have also suffered from this after the biggest hype was over.
* MeaningfulReleaseDate: "Deadache" and "Scare Force One" were released in Halloween of 2008 and 2014.

* NightmareFuel: Their make up makes them look like friggin demons.

** Their first movie The Kin has a few nightmarish scenes, such as the chasing, killing and hiding in the shed of a poor man by Kita. Mr Lordi's appearance near the end is also fairly eerie. The soundtrack and settings themselves give a feeling of claustrophobia similar to the Blood Red Sandman music video.
