This comedy Talk Show ran from 2004 to 2005 on ITV, 2006 to 2009 on Channel 4, then back to ITV from 2013 to 2015.

Paul O'Grady, previously best known for his Disguised in Drag role as Lily Savage (a character he retired), hosted an hourlong show at 5pm on weekdays, before switching to a weekly show at 9pm in his retun to ITV. The show features interviews, games and music.

There are also his pets. One pet dog, Buster, died in 2009, but O'Grady had another, Olga. In the afternoon run of the show, the dog sat on his desk. In the final run, he was accompanied by other pets, including a pig. O'Grady would go on to present a Sunday afternoon radio show for the BBC, but in mid-2022 left this.note . He died in March 2023, which means his other show Paul O Grady For The Love Of Dogs will be airing its final series posthumously (with his close friend, Alison Hammond, taking over for every episode after).

Tropes:

  • The Eponymous Show: The Paul O'Grady Show
  • Friend to All Living Things: Paul was a dedicated animal lover. He regularly featured segments on animals and shelters during the show, and he always had his dogs Buster and Olga at his desk.
  • The Ghost: Bert, a producer who Paul addressed every now and then.
    • Also, Paul would refer to his Alter Ego Lily Savage, who he claimed was in a convent.
  • Leno Device: The show made an appearance in the Doctor Who series four finale on the occasion of Earth moving to a new place in the universe. Apparently Ianto of Torchwood is a fan.
  • Pantomime: An annual one.
