* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: The [[ShowWithinAShow movie spoofing the events of the series proper]], which manages to fake you out until Alejandro Corner shows up, the 00 Gundam starts doing dramatic hand motions, and the Gundams all have [[AllYourColorsCombined unique Trans-Am colors, which they combine to fire a huge beam]]. After watching it, when finally alone, Saji states (with a bit of disappointment) that he wasn't in the movie.
** During said ShowWithinAShow, for a split second one can see that the sub captain of the Katharon ship is a bear.

*** The [[ShowWithinAShow in-universe movie’s]] take on the Meisters is pretty hilarious, too: Setsuna has PeekABangs and a [[GoodScarsEvilScars cross-shaped scar]], Lockon looks to be a StoicSpectacles type, Tieria is a ScaryBlackMan, and H/Allelujah ''is a RoseHairedSweetie''.
*** And at the meta level, the whole thing has been added to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttzjaWCl7JI Sunrise's official MS Files.]]

* BrokenBase: Diehard 00 fans will defend this movie with all You can roughly break reaction to the film into 3 groups: Those who love they can. Many others, including most critics would rather leave it, than take it.it unconditionally, those who think it's a blight on Gundam as a whole, and those who agree that, thematically and action-wise it's very fitting, but ultimately flawed film that does not live up to it's hype yet isn't a write-off either. Currently, the last group seems to be the largest.

** The entire sequence from Setsuna [[spoiler:waking up from his coma through to him launching in the 00 Qan[T],]] it begins with [[spoiler:Feldt hugging Setsuna, who hugs her back (a rather telling action as he is usually rather protective of his personal space), Feldt then goes back to her post rather than follow the crews suggestion that she stay with him, when asked why she won't say says that she'll be able to feel his presence no matter where he is, and then offers a gentle smile right before he launches.]]
** Mileina Vashti [[spoiler:declaring her love for Tieria, regardless of his physical form]], was one of the most heartwarming moment in the movie. People in the theater collectively went "d'aww!" and laughed at [[OverprotectiveDad Ian's]] reaction [[HilarityEnsues following this moment]].

** While force may be necessary at times, blindly responding with force against something you can't understand or comprehend is just liable to make things worse. Setsuna's perceived pacifism in this film makes a lot more sense when you realize that all his like he's been fighting against enemies who he can actually communicate and engage in dialogue with, and the ELS, in comparison, are a completely alien life form whose motives he can't discern at all. Meanwhile the EFS responding to them with force, while understandable, ended up with them getting slaughtered by the ELS when they defended themselves in turn, only stopping when their actual dialogue with Setsuna revealed the harm their actions were causing.

* GodModeSue: The 00 [=Qan[T]=] probably would be this if it was used in any kind of military capacity. All the teething problems of the 00 Raiser have been ironed out, and the occasional instances when we see some measure of its power are impressive indeed. In fact, it's an arguable rival for the mighty ''Anime/TurnAGundam'' as "most powerful mobile suit in the franchise", which is saying a lot in ''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundam00 Gundam 00]]'''s relatively low-tech setting compared to Turn A's. As is, though, Setsuna is far more interested in using it for its primary purpose -- a highly-advanced communications device.
** WordOfGod posits that the [=Qan[T]=] is ''so'' powerful that it could have taken on the ''entire'' ELS force alone. And '''''won.''''' However, it was later clarified that this was ignoring several important factors, such as the pilot's stamina [[spoiler:''and'' counting out the regenerative ability of the ELS]]. Yes, the Qan[T] could have killed the entire ELS force... given ''two straight weeks of continuous battle'', which no human being (Innovator or otherwise) would be capable of.

** [[spoiler:The 00 Qan[T] gets about five minutes of screen time but still manages to be ''even more of a [[GodModeSue blatant hax]] than 00 Raiser''. Hell, 00 Qan[T] is compared to ''the [[Anime/TurnAGundam Turn A]]'' as the most powerful mobile suit in the entire Franchise/{{Gundam}} multiverse]].

* XMeetsY: Depending on who you ask, the movie is either ''Franchise/{{Gundam}}'' meets ''Franchise/StarTrek'' meets ''Series/TheXFiles'', or ''Gundam'' meets ''Film/IndependenceDay'' meets ''{{Franchise/Transformers}}''. You can even argue that the plot element of [[spoiler: the ELS targeting potential Innovators]] practically comes from ''Series/KamenRiderAgito''.
** Or, hey, even ''Gundam'' meets ''Literature/EndersGame,'' what with the aliens being unable to understand the individuality/sentience of humankind and the hero traversing time and space to communicate with them and then return years later, nowhere near the age he should be.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: All of the awesomeness in this movie is accompanied by equally awesome (and sometimes downright scary) music.
** Kenji Kawai took at least three ("Trans-Am Raiser", "Masurao", "Fight") scores from the TV series, remixed them with a much larger orchestral group, and combined them together with vocal accompaniment ''(via OneWomanWail and EtherealChoir)''. The end result is called "Final Mission ~ Quantum Burst", and its not only eight minutes of pure concentrated awesome but also the movie's cue for the Meisters to [[AutobotsRockOut hand the ELS their collective asses]].
