* HarsherInHindsight: Even if at the time it was only a classic fairy offer, with what later happens with her, Leanansidhe's offer to return Amoracchius to Michael in exchange for his eldest child becomes this.

** Harry killing Bianca is, at the moment, completely awesome, and something that probably makes most readers cheer for him. Given that it leads to a magical world war where hundreds of people, wizards and civilians, die...

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Michael's attitude towards Harry and Susan. A case of him being traditional-minded and not wanting them to have sex outside of marriage? Or him trying to encourage Harry to get over his Elaine issues and tell her that he loves her before it's too late?

You can't blame Susan for all of these - it's all again a very gross exaggeration which does not have literary support (even beyond flexibility of YMMV here), especially as the war was canonically already going to happen with the Reds.

%%* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Susan. Because of her own stupid decision and refusal to heed Harry's warnings, she ends up becoming a half-vampire, Harry is tortured - in ways that he never really elaborates upon, though there are pretty clear hints that he was gang-raped by Bianca's cronies - and technically dies, though he's able to come back. What's worse, although the Red Court were probably gearing up for war for years, they're able to use the incidents of the book to declare it proper, causing years of suffering, misery and death. All because Susan 'had to get the story'.
%%** Susan can hardly be blamed for the war itself. In later books it's actually explained that the Red Court was going to find any excuse to go to war regardless. In fact, they would've actually preferred to gather more strength first.
* WhatAnIdiot: Susan gatecrashing Bianca's ball. Not only does she ignore Harry, who ''' ''repeatedly'' ''' told her that it was too dangerous for her to attend, she also thinks a fake invitation will hide the fact that she wasn't invited. Or, that if she ''does'' get discovered, no one will care.

The war was brewing without Susan, the white court would likely have pulled in Dresden in White Night anyway which was unrelated, fae were still already having their schisms (leading to Summer knight and more), Nicodemus had his agenda throughout books that was not connected to the vampire war, Outsiders is a whole other major metaplot and so on so forth. This is an extremely gross exaggeration.

* ForWantOfANail: It seems 80%-95% of all the troubles in the Dresdenverse and for Harry personally seem to all come back to Susan decision to crash a party.

* HarsherInHindsight: Leanansidhe's offer to return Amoracchius to Michael in exchange for the soul of his eldest child. For a first time reader, this just seems like a typical faerie deal. However, later books make it clear Lea and Mab have been interested in grooming Molly for some time.
** WordOfGod states that this was just your classic "trade me your eldest child" offer that the Fae are famous for. Their later interest in Molly is unrelated.

** Though, to be fair, part of the problem is that Harry doesn't explain the situation, the stakes, and how serious this kind of thing is - she's thinking that it's more along the lines of where, if she gets caught, she gets chucked out, rather than gets eaten.
