* AccidentalInnuendo: Happens InUniverse in ''Fumoffu'' episode 8, when Tessa says she's in the "water business"; though she's obviously referring to her being a submarine captain, the term is Japanese slang for prostitution. The English version handles this by changing it to "getting wet is my business!" (which is also lampshaded as a poor choice of words by Kaname).

** The instrumental background music on the original DVD menus (with chibi versions of Kaname and Sousuke marching around!) is so similar to the theme for Series/TheATeam that some people have actually looked up whether it was flat-out licensed for use.

* WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids: The show is a light-hearted comedy with a TV-PG rating on both the ADV Films and Funimation DVDs, featuring the adorable mascot character Bonta-kun...completely kid-friendly, right? Except it's a spinoff of Full Metal Panic!, a much more serious mecha anime, and most of the comedy revolves around the main character's difficulty integrating into a modern Japanese high school due to being a ChildSoldier. As a result, there's no shortage of violence and crude language, as well as some sexual situations and a whole lot of nudity just barely contained by SceneryCensor in the HotSpringsEpisode.

Additionally, one of the girls he goes after is Kyoko, voiced by Creator/MonicaRial. After Mignogna's sexual harassment charges, including against Rial, good luck finding this comfortable to watch again.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: At the end of an episode of ''Fumoffu'', a [[BewareTheNiceOnes normally kind janitor]] is fed his prize koi fish (on accident), [[BerserkButton causing him to get possessed by a demon]], [[ChainsawGood grab a chainsaw he keeps in his closet]], and attack Sosuke and his friend. Or something. It's never mentioned again, and the janitor is back to normal in the morning.
** The janitor does make a very brief appearance in the last episode of Fumoffu, having apparently reverted to his chainsaw-wielding demon self during the anarchy of the [[spoiler:released bio-weapon.]]

* NightmareFuel: The very last shot of the finale. Lord knows how Sōsuke got out of that alive...

** Episode 3 of ''Fumoffu'' has an interesting case when Sousuke envisions Kaname being tortured. The visual is of her being tickled with feathers, but because it's heavily pixelated, the viewer's imagination is entirely likely to fill in the details of something much, much worse.

* CrowningMomentOfFunny: The entire rugby episode, natch. The {{SoundEffectBleep}}s only add to the gut-busting laughter when accompanied by Sousuke quoting FullMetalJacket.
