** Yo, due to being a GenkiGirl who's incredibly sweet and [[CryCute cries at the drop of a hat]]. Her crush on Chum Chum can be seen as cute too when it's not bordering on {{Yandere}}. Season 2 removing her crush on Chum Chum increases her Moe status, as it has been replaced with her showing moments of kindness.

* TastesLikeDiabetes: Yo is a living example of this.

* NarmCharm: The art style. there's some UncannyValley moments and the characters are pretty funny-looking, but you gotta admit the squash-and-stretchy way they all move and the zany expressions they're able to pull off is rather admirable; this is most noticeable in Season 2.

* UncannyValley: The animation in season one, is very... lifeless to say the least. Compare to later episodes.

** Yo is either cute due to her GenkiGirl tendencies or an annoying {=Yandere=}, depending on whom you may ask.

* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Sigmund's nervous "Oh? Friends? Ahaha! Such happy for you!" was a brief unmasking of his haughty facade. Perhaps ''he'' was jealous of Kyle for having friends, which he--possibly--does not have (it would make sense, considering how arrogant he is) and decided to invite himself to the dinner at Kyle's house so he could humiliate Kyle (which he achieved, since Kyle admitted he was worse than him in the end) to make himself feel better? The [[AnAesop aesop]] of the episode seems to support that theory--after Sigmund left, Kyle was in a defeated state, until Fanboy and Chum Chum assured him that he still has his friends, to which the reply was "Yes... I suppose I ''am'' the winner after all".

* FandomRivalry: With ''WesternAnimation/AdventureTime'' fans, due to Nickelodeon greenlighting ''Fanboy'' over it and forcing AT to move to Creator/CartoonNetwork. Obviously, had Nick chosen ''Adventure Time'' over ''Fanboy'', the latter would have never become a show in the first place, [[BrokenBase for better or worse]].

* NightmareFuel:
** Kyle in "Speed Eraser", where he uses his magic to have Fanboy's hand stuck to the eraser and telling him if he picks up ''anything'' with that hand, it will be erased.
* OverusedRunningGag: The gross-out elements were ran into the ground in season one, with episodes like "Pick a Nose" and "Fanboy Stinks" being all about them. They were mostly toned down by the second season.

* VindicatedByHistory: In the years since the show ended, people have been more willing to talk about the positive aspects of show, such as its [[SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome lively and frenetic CGI animation that makes it stand out among other Nicktoons]], its fun and colorful side characters, the clever pop-culture references, and its imaginative (if surreal and off-the-wall) story ideas. While it still has some obvious flaws, a number of Nickelodeon fans are more willing to admit that ''Fanboy and Chum Chum'' has a number of positive elements that most ignore and is, at the very least, nowhere near one of Nickelodeon's worst offerings. Even WebVideo/TheMysteriousMrEnter, a highly CausticCritic who harshly panned FB&CC when it first aired, has admitted that he grew to like the show in recent years.

* AlasPoorScrappy: Whether you love or hate the duo, the former's treatment in the second half of "Precious Pig" where he is shunned and banished to the back of the classroom after he is accused of hurting Precious counts as this and a TearJerker; given he attempted and succeeded to teach him karate.

* {{Squick}}: The show ''lives and breathes on'' it, with bodily function-related humor finding its way into just about every episode. The worst offenders go to "Pick a Nose", where [[ItMakesSenseInConext Fanboy and Chum Chum trade noses and sniff various horrible odors to torment each other]], including a dirty Chris Chuggy, a toilet, and [[SmellyFeetGag Mr. Muflin's foot]], and "Fanboy Stinks!" where Fanboy tries to break a record of going the most days without bathing and [[ItMakesSenseInContext grows a pair of talking mushrooms on his fingers]]. Dare we say anymore?

* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: While it's evident that the show had to work with an average TV budget, the expressive squash-and-stretch animation made the show stand out compared to other CGI works at the time, as these exaggerated movements are very difficult to achieve in CGI due to the physics having a tendency to break the character models.

** In “Fanboy Stinks”, the music played as Fanboy [[WalkingInRhythm struts]] down the school hallway with Stinks sounds similar to [[Music/TheBeeGees Stayin' Alive]]. The scene itself is even a homage to the opening scene from ''Film/{{Saturday Night Fever}}'', which features that song. The same tune is played at the beginning of "Put That Cookie Down!".

* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: While its evident that the show had to work with a simple TV budget, the expressive squash-and-stretch animation made the show stand out compared to other CGI works at the time, as these exaggerated movements were practically exclusive to 2D animation. Not to mention, it's also very difficult to achieve these movements in CGI, as the physics would likely break the character models.
