He's the bastard son of Prince Blueblood and essentially the ManBehindTheMan to Luna's government, the Six Ministries, and most if not all of the various secret projects being conducted prior to the Last Day, up to and including the Gardens of Equestria. He's very attractive looking, with an IncurableCoughOfDeath from surviving the Littlehoof Massacre, and was Fluttershy's coltfriend [[spoiler:and the father of her daughter]]. The only creatures who seem to dislike him are the {{Evil Aristocrat}}s like his father and uncle, Rarity, and Spike, and even Spike professes a kind of grudging respect for him, and even with all the shady stuff he did, he's still presented as ultimately a WellIntentionedExtremist who didn't ''want'' for any of it to happen, and in fact tried to talk Luna and the Mane 6 out of going down the routes ''he'' proposed.

And as of chapter 70, Somber looks to be delivering on that promise as the climax looks to be going off at any moment.

She's actually so bad that Blackjack reacts with ''glee'' at finally being able to kill someone that she doesn't have to lose sleep over, and actually asks her if she eats babies or other monstrous activities.
