** [[TheChessMaster Snadhya'rune]] of the Sharen is steadily revealed as the closest thing the series has to a BigBad. Snadhya masterminds the rise of the Nidraa'chal, a terrorist faction that specifically makes a focus on targeting civilians, in order to throw the city of Chel into chaos. Snadhya also masterminds the murder of her mother in order to seize more power, using her daughter Kalki as the Nidraa'chal's proxy leader to keep herself out of the spotlight. Snadhya is also a sexual predator at Orthobbae, the school she runs and also where she recruited many of the Nidraa'chal's members by seduction, including her longtime lover Mel'arnach. Snadhya uses Mel as a tool and sends Mel back to her [[AbusiveParents controlling and brutal mother Quain'tana Val'Sarghress ]],who breaks Mel's arms and holds her captive for 15 years. When Snadhya has several Sarghress captives, she toys with them before [[TheSadist sadistically]] executing them to show off her new airship. Then when Kalki defies an order from Snadhya for the second time, Snadhya coldly informs her that she [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness has run out of chances]] and has her killed by her summons without any emotion whatsoever.

Weaker as in, they\'re not examples of the Moral Event Horizon; Kick The Dog at best. If you really insist, I don\'t mind keeping Balsii, but Sate\'ja HAS to go given that her own entry contradicts and mitigates what she\'s done; she\'s only here because she killed a popular character, and that\'s not a Moral Event Horizon.

** Sate'ja seems to have definitely crossed it with the fans after [[spoiler: she stabs Naal]]. And then a page later she twists the knife in. Slightly mitigated by the fact that [[spoiler:it's heavily implied that she's not in complete control of herself anymore, what with being a summon]], but still killing a fan-favourite character had many fans baying for her blood.

not sure why the Balsii and Sate\'ja entries were classified as \"weaker entries\". As the chapters continue we\'ll have more MEH examples from other characters, so there\'s no need to limit the entries to just Quain\'tana and Snadhya\'rune.

** Mel too has become a base breaker, especially with her behaviour in Ch44 and Ch46. Some say she is justified because of the abuse she suffered at the hands of Quain while others feel she has gone full circle and became a hypocrite and is no better than Quain. How she reacted to the brutal execution of the Sarghress squad in Ch46 turned of a lot of people who formerly sympathised with her. Though it seems the hate died down when her conversation with Zhor showed how Snad broke her and that Snad was doing it for quite a long time. One key point was how Zhor compared the clothing Snad gave Mel to that of Kalki's pets, and Mel couldn't really come up with a rebuttal.

** Amusingly, the only thing funnier than watching individual DILP fans of a particular character is watching them ''collide'' with DILP fans of another character and start arguing with each other. The Quain'tana versus Snadhya'rune arguments are especially amusing in light of the fact that Quain and Snadhya are really NotSoDifferent when you think about it, so when a character someone likes does something terrible it's justified, but if the ''other'' one does the same thing they're a CompleteMonster. Watching their fans twist themselves into knots to try to explain this is pretty entertaining.

Her plan involves intentionally spreading faulty demon seeds amongst the populace (which turn the infected into hideous abominations while destroying their mind in the process) and poison all notable clan leaders who aren't on her side so she can rule over of the Underworld or rather what's left of it. She's also nauseatingly arrogant to the point of narcissism and is show to be a massive hypocrite on top of it. And what had been one of her possibly redeeming traits, mainly her relationship with Mel, was rapidly shown to be another manipulation with the seeming goal of cutting Mel off completely from her family and turning her into some sort of pet to parade around.
** Snadhya's daughter, Kalki, also has little characterization beyond being a psychotic murderer with sadistic tendencies.

Designated Protagonist Syndrome has been redefined. Bad examples are being removed

* DarknessInducedAudienceApathy - While Drow society does operate on a different moral wavelength from humans, slavery is still tolerated by almost everyone, everyone is a huge racist (or speciesist more accurately) with a few exceptions, and their culture is plagued by violence and self-centered debauchery. Several readers have expressed the thought that most characters could die and they wouldn't really be that bothered by it or that the setting's degenerate society could collapse and they wouldn't really mind either in the sense that whatever replaces it can't really be any worse.
* DesignatedProtagonistSyndrome - Ariel to some, who tend to find Kiel, Chyrs'tel or even Chirinide much more interesting and engaging. Even the authors seem to realize this and have made Ariel ''a'' protagonist of the comic rather than ''the'' protagonist in later chapters.
* DesignatedVillain - Syphile fits this, much to many fans' ire. Especially since it turns out she's...well, right about a lot of things.

One key point was how Zhor compared the clothing Snad gave Mel to that of Kalki's pets.

** Kiel herself has become a bit of a base breaker since becoming the official comic mascot, with many finding her antics annoying and childish, labeling her a SpotlightStealingSquad, and others finding her zaniness a welcome distraction from the oftentimes depressing war setting.

* CompleteMonster - Sene'kha is also one of the few characters almost universally agreed to be one of these. Her [[http://www.drowtales.com/mainarchive.php?order=chapters&id=801 plan]] to take over Chel puts her here, if nothing else, as did the fact that she turned the Vloz from a weird but harmless RagtagBunchOfMisfits into its current form by setting up Kiel's mother for death and using Kharla, who had been getting better, for her own purposes and planning on turning her into even more of an EldritchAbomination.
