** Out of beta, while still generally regarded as the Queen of Melee, Ivis' TierInducedScrappy status has been significantly reduced... mainly because Aquila Girl is much, much worse. Simply locking onto an enemy with her Homing Blaster guaranteed around 40 damage with each shot, and she introduced the Full Boost ability which lets her recharge her Boost Gauge and maxes out of FLY stat. With Propeller Bits, she can stay in the air and rain green death for a very long time.

** And these previous examples say nothing of when the first ZERO-type robots, Resha and Eris, were released. Eris was manageable - though still ludicrously powerful to the point that she took Ivis' Queen of Melee title for a time - due to all the regular anti-melee techniques still working on her, but Resha was so overpowered that pretty much the entire Cosmic Break playerbase demanded that she be nerfed. The Japanese server even protested with in-game signs! Eventually the players got their wish, and Resha and a handful of other recently-introduced and complained about robots were toned down. Note that this was before Seraph Crimrose FC and took a lot longer to actually happen.

** Rounding out the RockPaperScissors TierInducedScrappy trio as an ART is Lily Rain EVE due to her shield ability, insane damage output, and good mobility (high FLY stat, as well as the Float Dash cartridge). Because of this notable amount of effort required to accomplish this nowadays, people who can play Lily Rain EVE well are usually applauded rather than scorned.

People who can play Lily Rain EVE well are generally applauded.
** Then came the FC (Full-Color) version of Seraph Crimrose... she has the same abilities as the original (Anti-Homing, the "Seraph Wing" similar to Full Boost but it increases her flight time by a lot), but with one more: Seraph Nova, an subweapon that targets up to six enemies at once and launches an energy blast that sucks them in and damages them pretty badly. It was so deadly that CyberStep [=CyberStep=] had to decrease the sucking and force of the attack within a week of her introduction.

* TierInducedScrappy - In the betas, Ivis was this. Out of beta, her TierInducedScrappy status has been significantly reduced... mainly because Aquila Girl is much, much worse. To an extent, Lily Rain EVE is also considered a TierInducedScrappy herself, due to her shield ability, insane damage output, and good mobility (high FLY stat, as well as the Float Dash cartridge). Now comes Seraph Crimrose (HD version)...
** Which is to say nothing of when the first ZERO-type robots, Resha and Eris, were released. Eris was manageable due to all the regular anti-melee techniques still working on her, but Resha was so overpowered that pretty much the entire Cosmic Break playerbase demanded that she be nerfed. The Japanese server even protested with in-game signs! Eventually the players got their wish, and Resha and a handful of other recently-introduced and complained about robots were toned down.

Out of beta, her while still generally regarded as the queen of melee, Ivis' TierInducedScrappy status has been significantly reduced... mainly because Aquila Girl is much, much worse. Seraph Crimrose (HD version)...
FC was - and still is - available by pure UC so players not willing to shell out money on the game can get something that can compete in the current meta.

* ThatOneAttack - Every boss has one. Berzelius can slam into you, often killing you instantly unless you have something like 600 HP, where you will usually get half of that taken off instead. Then there's Fractulus, which fires a giant green laser that kills everyone who touches it. After that, there's Demonfox Haku, whose every attack either breaks some of your parts, inflicts a debuff, or kills you instantly. Even THEN you have not considered his FantasticNuke. THEN you realize that he has two different nukes. Lastly, there's ActionBomb C.S-chan who blows herself up and instantly kills everyone in range at low health.
-> Now the player can do one themselves with the recent update that gave a brand new bot with an attack that locks onto six targets, and launches blue nova blasts with a gravy well function that is both immensly powerful, and can be deadly, especally to enemy robots that are huddled up together (I.e. a Support bot with an active healing bit at the power spot with a bunch of players getting repairs from the Support). A recent nerf removed the gravity well part of the attack, but it still hurts like all hell. The kicker behind all of this? This bot doesn't even need real life cash to aquire!
