* CompleteMonster: It would be easier to list the Chaos! protagonists who ''weren't'' this, although a few of them, like Lady Death and Chastity, did soften up quite a lot later in the company's lifespan.
** It's also telling that out of the three - Lady Death, Evil Ernie, and Purgatori - that Purgatori seems less bad because she doesn't want to torture and destroy humanity; she just wants to feed on us when she needs to, and even then she much prefers to drink the blood of supernatural beings.
