Added DiffLines:

** The show's creators have actually drawn points to Harry Potter, comparing Rudy to Harry (ordinary kid who discovers extraordinary powers of a secret world), Snap to Ron (streetsmart wisecracker), and Penny to Hermione (girl genius). They once mentioned that if [=ChalkZone=] was ever revived or rebooted, Nickelodeon should make the effort to use those comparisons to promote the show.

* BizarroEpisode: "The White Board Zone". It has a plot too screwed-up to explain but all we know is that in the end .

** Here, we have a property involving a person creating whatever he wants using a special writing utensil... No, wait, I'm thinking of Scribblenauts something else, nevermind.

** You wouldn't expect a show as cute as this to have such a badass opening theme.

** The show got a soundtrack in February 2003 entitled In The Zone, and was released under Jive Records (which Nickelodeon was releasing its' soundtracks under at the time). Jive would release another album of the same name later that year in November.

* BaseBreaker: Snap for a little bit, as some fans (and even non-fans) loved him, while the other half didn't (which tends to be common for the "comic relief" characters). The majority of the fans in recent years love him.

Added DiffLines:

** The fact that the complete series DVD is missing "The Smooch" due to music rights. Some fans are very upset about it, as it makes the set incomplete despite what the cover says, while other fans casually accept that it's missing (and realize Nickelodeon's most likely not going to reinstate the episode anytime soon), and are happy that the rest of the half-hour ("Power Play" and "All The Way To The Top") are at least included on the DVD (as the [=iTunes=], Amazon Instant Video, and Playstation Store collections don't include any part of the episode).

* CanonDiscontinuity: One of the two only Oh Yeah! shorts not to be shown on the show proper, "Chalk Rain". Also notable because it featured a fact about Chalkzone that never was mentioned again: the rain in Chalkzone is the chalk sidewalk drawing being washed away... by the rain. Despite this, a clip of it still appears in the intro.
