** Spain absolutely loved the series, possibly as much as Japan itself did. Two different dubs were made there, Spanish and Galician, and the former is commonly described as one of the best adaptations ever made in the country. The charisma of the anime itself, the presence of both [[HamAndCheese gleeful hamminess]] and [[TookTheBadFilmSeriously surprising professionality]] in the voice acting, and on top of everything, the [[{{Woolseyism}} brilliant translation of the original language puns]] (along with the more ethereal fact that you could tell the dubbers [[AwesomeDearBoy had the blast of their lives while doing the work]]) turned the series into such a hilarity that even today it is considered some of the best Japanese stuff ever come to Spain.
** The UK has its love for the show as well, with it being described as a Creator/MontyPython-esque anime, due to how it appeals to the same bizarre mindset within British humor.
* GrowingTheBeard: While the show always tried to blend {{Shounen}} and SurrealHumor from the very start, the initial episodes are often regarded as very slow to get through and often distract the main plot with [[BigLippedAlligatorMoment bizarre side-plots]] that slow down the action at key moments. Once the OVER arc begins, the action and comedy finally mesh together into a better mix, with [[RapidFireComedy much quicker paced comedy]], which integrate into the main story and action, leading to several imaginative and crazy fights against legitimately dangerous enemies [[SerialEscalation and continue to escalate the insanity from that moment onwards]].

* HeartwarmingInHindsight: In an '''EXTREMELY BIZARRE''' sense as is the shows typical nature, [=BoBoBo=] defeats the series first Hair Hunt Captain Hagen of G-Block with [[spoiler: his older sister [=BuBuBu=]-Bu Bu-[=BuBu=]'s Hair Fist]] The Fist of Armpit Hair.
* HilariousInHindsight: In the last episode of the anime, one of Don Patch’s dub lines “How about a spin-off series starring me?” becomes especially funny considering that he would later get 2 spin-off manga series (''Fuwari! Don Patch'' and ''Honnori! Don Patch'') in 2012 and 2014 respectively, 7 years after the anime ended.

*** It also makes sense that the IV is not the BigBad from his actions retrospectively. In an organization in which normally equates AuthorityEqualsAssicking, his decisions to rely on others hints that he's aware he's a figure head to hide the real and more powerful BigBad.

** The EasilyForgiven nature of the series towards its enemies, it was excusable in the beginning Jelly Jiggler, Dengakuman and Soften were AffablyEvil at worst, not really doing anything too heinous on screen. With OVER/Torpedo Girl, it was harder to justify as they were either a {{Sadist}} or an obnoxious SmugSuper that personally caused suffering to those whom Bobobo cared about- it made less sense, but it allowed a potential [[TheSixthRanger new ally]] to fight enemies, much like with Halekulani later on, even though he was a BadBoss with a tendency to KickTheDog. It only really became an issue when Bobobo spared Czar Baldy Bald the III, a KnightOfCerebus MisanthropeSupreme who did everything to kill his friends and eat him, as as well as being a known enemy to Bobobo's heritage. Rather expectedly, [[UnGratefulBastard III was not one to take the lesson of loving humanity to heart to be good, unlike other enemies, deciding to use Bobobo's mercy to start up more trouble]] and starting up the TimeSkip fight dilemma, making Bobobo's [[NiceJobBreakingItHero decision]] [[WhatAnIdiot idiotic even by the show's standards]].

** Bababa Ba-ba Bababa, [[NamesTheSame not the king of the nosehair]], but the eldest brother of the Five Hair Kingdom siblings, who controls the Fist of the Chest Hair, and the most mysterious of the quintet. In spite of playing a very big role in Bobobo's past and even have interaction with [[ArcVillain Bibibi]] with the implications that they shared control of the Neo Hair Kingdom, he doesn't appear in person, leaving his appearance, powers and actual personality outside of Don Patch mistaking an enemy for him, a mystery, leaving Bibibi as the singular threat. This gets worse as Hatenko makes a declaration to stop him and go to where he is on the moon, leading to a potential opportunity to finally show him. Instead, this remains unresolved as to whether he was dealt with offscreen or ignored in favor of stopping Czar Baldy Bald the III's reign.

* MoralEventHorizon: [[spoiler: Bi-bibi]] is the one who caused the Hair Hunt in the Hair Kingdom because [[spoiler: Bo-bobo was about to become the next king! Later in the battle, he used his true power, Kegari Shinken (Fist of Hair Hunt), to pluck out the Hair Balls out of Be-bebe, Bu-bubu, and Hatenko; and Bo-bobo engages him in a sword duel while protecting them. However, Bu-bubu's Hair Ball was broken when Bi-bibi stabs it and she dies. Then Bi-bibi took this opportunity and stabs Bo-bobo in the body, destroying the Hair Ball and killing him. But Bo-bobo came BackFromTheDead thanks to Landmine Dandy replacing his Hair Ball with the Landmine Ball and defeats Bi-bibi with the help of the power from his allies. After Bi-bibi is defeated, he is spared because despite his evil ways, he's actually a good father to his daughters.]]
** Czar Baldy-Bald the III crossed it [[spoiler: he proves to be a truly UngratefulBastard by not taking Bobobo's lesson defining attack to finish him to heart, kill Bibibi and start another tyrannical reign for the following arc. It's very jarring when the other villains performed [[FaceHeelTurn changes to good]] or [[HazyFeelTurn lessen their villainy enough to not earn the wrath of Bobobo again]].]]

** Especially the fusions, whose ridiculousness are UpToEleven with what normally qualifies for this trope.

** The rollercoaster rap, which takes the SurrealHorror and SurrealHumor UpToEleven.

** And in ''Shinsetsu'', we have Namero and Pokomi, the former an eternally stoic DeadpanSnarker [[spoiler:who eventually becomes the newest emperor of the Neo Maruhage Empire]], the latter being a lolita-bait, [[TastesLikeDiabetes bubbly]] magical girl [[spoiler:and Heppokomaru's younger sister]].

* TastesLikeDiabetes: In Den-bo(-chan)'s first appearance, she sings really cutesy songs, and in her second appearance, she is reading aloud a strange childrens book she wrote.

* UncannyValley: One of the chapter covers during the Hanpen fight has an ArtShift [[Manga/DeathNote down by the creators of Death Note in that style]]. The more inhuman characters, especially Jelly Jiggler and Dengakuman look very unnatural in this style.

* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: In an '''EXTREMELY BIZARRE''' sense as is the shows typical nature, [=BoBoBo=] defeats the series first Hair Hunt Captain Hagen of G-Block with [[spoiler: his older sister [=BuBuBu=]-Bu Bu-[=BuBu=]'s Hair Fist]] The Fist of Armpit Hair.

** OVER's OneWingedAngel being Torpedo Girl, subverting the usual conventions as expected of one would expect a villain's transformation to be, odd and silly rather than even more terrifying. It worked with Torpedo Girl as she ultimately had her own gimmick of being a [[{{Hypocrite}} hypocritical]] NoNonsenseNemesis with her own quirks outside of the fact she was a torpedo and that [[ActuallyPrettyFunny it was so out of left field that a serious, dangerous and violent man like OVER would end up having a transformation that it was humorous in its own right]], providing the perfect MoodWhiplash punchline to the tense situation and she being a NotSoHarmlessVillain anyway, ending up being a popular character in her own right. Dark Yasha and Shiryuen Kamara would follow suit with their own wacky transformations, but lacked the character depth outside of it being a wacky contrast to their serious self, lacking the original charm of the first subversion.

* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: In an '''EXTREMELY BIZARRE''' sense as is the shows typical nature, [=BoBoBo=] defeats the series first Hair Hunt Block Captain Geha the Gale of G-Block with [[spoiler: his older sister [=BuBuBu=]-Bu Bu-[=BuBu=]'s Hair Fist]] The Fist of Armpit Hair.

It worked with him as it was very good comedic timing between OVER's patient TranquilFury and the group's antics, leading into the moment that OVER turned out to be NotSoAboveItAll as the very odd Torpedo Girl. It was initially seen as a refresher from the BunnyEarsLawyer and HarmlessVillain ArcVillain BigBad that the series started out with, with Geha the Gale, Battleship/Gunkan, Jelly Jiggler, Dengakuman and Rice. The issues with this change, really began to show themselves as Halekulani, Giga, Czar Baldy Bald the III, Hydrate and Bibibi, who were more traditionally serious villains showed increasing KnightOfCerebus traits with few to no quirks to bounce off the heroes, ending with [[HeroKiller killing the heroes temporally at one point]]. It bled into Shinsetsu, which caused Bobobo and the others' attempts to be funny in the face of serious situations like Heppokomaru and Namero's FaceHeelTurn being extremely naively tone-deaf at best and insulting at worse.

* CrazyAwesome: THE ENTIRE SERIES!

* CatharsisFactor: Giga had been tormenting and taunting Bobobo and co. ever since they arrived in Cyber City and turning Gasser into a statue in front of their eyes with fiendish glee. It is immensely satisfying to see Bobobo finally defeat him and utterly [[BreakTheHaughty destroy his insufferable personality of being unbeatable on top of it]].

** The MoodWhiplash between the heroes' silliness and the villains' seriousness began with OVER. It worked with him as it was very good comedic timing between OVER's patient TranquilFury and the group's antics, leading into the moment that OVER turned out to be NotSoAboveItAll as the very odd Torpedo Girl. * LoveToHate: Giga is easily one of the despicable [[ArcVillain major villains in the series]], with his insufferably smug personality with no respect to even his superior, personally turning Gasser into a clay statue on live television and constantly mocks and insults Bobobo and co. at every moment of their fight. It's due to these traits and his [[CreepyAwesome eerie powers]] that he's considered one of the best villains in what many consider one of the well-received arcs in the series.

** Katsu's introduction of [[TheWorfEffect defeating Gasser]].

** Gasser being turned into a doll by Giga, much to the horror of Beauty and the others who are forced to look on in horror.

* StupidSexyFlanders: Whenever Don Patch dresses up like a woman, most of the time, it's oddly {{Moe}}, the other times, it's FanDisservice to emphasize the {{Gonk}} nature, it's all up to RuleOfFunny. The most noticeable example is when he dresses up as Beauty in the first opening.

* AwesomeEgo: Don Patch. Always claiming to be the main character on the show, always the most voted in official character popularity polls.

** Dengakuman [[AllOfTheOtherReindeer background of being an unloved puppy]] and the subsequent reveal that his so called friends at Z-Block [[HiddenDisdainReveal never cared about him]] and were actually liking him on his cuteness factor, not himself personally and his desire for [[/IJustWantToHaveFriends friends]].
** Gasser being turned into a doll by Giga, much to the horror of Beauty and the others.

* UncannyValley: One of the covers during the Hanpen fight has an ArtShift [[Manga/DeathNote down by the creators of Death Note in that style]]. The more inhuman characters, especially Jelly Jiggler and Dengakuman look very unnatural.

** A more serious example would be Czar Baldy Bald the III, [[VocalDissonance his artificial sounding high-pitch voice in the dub]], ability to swallow Bobobo and Don Patch whole, and his perpetual WideEyesAndShrunkenIrises give the impression something is off about him long before the RoboticReveal.
