She almost accidentally admits those affections to Ruri in episode 5, barely managing to change her sentence at the last moment. In fact, episode 5 was mainly focused on flashbacks to the start of their friendship and how it relates to their current relationship, basically how Hibiki came to love Ren, and how Ren went out of her way to care for her.
