Misuse of the page/link. Diagnosed By The Audience edits must gave an actual diagnosis and/or theory of what form of disorder the character may have.

* DiagnosedByTheAudience:
** Lucien. He's referred to as "slow", and seems to have a mild mental handicap.
** Amélie's shyness, which in turns brings about her passive-aggression and vivid imagination, is played as a personality quirk that can be overcome if she tries, though it could be explained as some sort of mild mental disorder.

* AwardSnub: It received five UsefulNotes/AcademyAward nominations and went home empty-handed. It wasn't nominated for Best Picture, Director or Actress.
** The 2019 UK Production of the musical received three UsefulNotes/LaurenceOlivierAward nominations (for Best New Musical, Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical, and Best Original Score) and lost all three. It was also nominated for a UsefulNotes/GrammyAward for Best Musical Theatre Album in 2021, but lost that as well.

Uncanny Valley is IUEO now and the subjective version has been split; cleaning up misuse and ZCE in the process

* UncannyValley: Amélie does not come out of the promo poster looking like a quirky, but good-natured young woman. Instead, the colours and sharp lighting make her look artificial and malicious, giving her unnaturally white skin and utterly lifeless eyes.

* CommonKnowledge: Amelie is a quintessential ManicPixieDreamGirl? Well for starters, she can't be, because she's the ''protagonist''. She also decides to bring joy into multiple people's lives, and not just her love interest. And her eccentric behavior has a very clear source - her parents home schooling her and being raised largely in isolation. Inserting herself into Nino's life is more about something ''she'' wants, rather than fixing his.

* OlderThanTheyThink: This film arguably pushed the whole 'roaming gnome' tradition into mainstream consciousness. Some people mistake the film for starting the prank, even though it was started in Australia in the 1980s.

*** Somewhat undermined when you realize that she is pushing him around without even asking. Additionally, blind people tend to know their way around familiar places. If pushed by a stranger at a high speed, they can basically get lost. Though in her defence, Amelie only walks him down one street (that he's presumably familiar with), frequently states the shops that they're passing and makes a point of telling the man exactly where he is when she leaves him ("Now we're at the kiosk by the metro..."), thus giving him a landmark he can use to orientate himself. It's also implied that she has observed him making this journey before and knows where he's going, rather than just dragging him along somewhere at random. Plus, the light emanating from the old man makes it clear that it was a wonderful experience for him.
