* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: In contrast to the villains of the first two movies, which were incarnate forces of evil who duped human children into furthering their schemes to make the world more evil, the Wizard is a conventional cartoon villain, complete with [[ThoseTwoBadGuys two stupid, hapless minions]], who simply wants to take over Wonderland and impose his idea of order on the kingdom.

* SceneryPorn: Wonderland, as depicted here, looks ''gorgeous''. It's surreal, colourful and lively. The inhabitants are diverse and interesting. The madness and chaos is embraced by all in strange harmony. This has not gone unnoticed by the critics who were aggravated that [[{{Creator/TimBurton}} Tim Burton's]] interpretation

* GratuitousRap: The Cheshire Cat gets one.

* HairDecorations: The princess wears a red ribbon in her hair.

* EverythingsBetterWithPrincesses: As noted above, Wonderland had no princess in the original story. In this film, the Princess is an important character whose disappearance is the driving force behind the plot.

* BanisterSlide: In a scene when the Wizard walks down his stairs in his castle, while talking to Tweedledum and Tweedledee, he realizes that they are not right near to him, as he wonders where they are, the two join to ride down the banisters.

The box office for this film was the lowest of the three, causing a fourth film, ''WesternAnimation/CareBearsNutcrackerSuite'', to be a TV movie. There would be no further movies until DirectToVideo films in the TurnOfTheMillennium. Incidentially, despite being the lowest grossing theatrical ''Care Bears'' film, it was distributed by the film distribution subsidiary of a Canadian movie theatre company, Cineplex Odeon (now known as [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cineplex_Entertainment Cineplex Entertainment]]).

* LukeIAmYourFather[=/=]{{Nephewism}}: Apparently the White Rabbit of Wonderland is Swift Heart Rabbit's uncle.

* NoNameGiven: Neither the Queen, the Wizard nor the Princess of Wonderland are known by anything other than their titles.

* RealityWarper: The Cheshire Cat. It's actually quite impressive.
* RunningGag: Grumpy Bear constantly grumbling about his hunger. In the end, this joke builds up to...a bad rap.
* SamusIsAGirl: A minor example. Swift Heart Rabbit is apparently female, since the White Rabbit outright calls her his niece.

* SymbolMotifClothing: Heart symbols decorate the regalia worn by the queen and princess of Wonderland. Even the Queen's cape has hearts on [[PrettyInMink the white ermine trim]]. The princess's ermine cape has a heart-shaped clasp.

* NoNameGiven: Neither the Queen nor the Princess of Wonderland are known by anything other than their royal titles.

* CanonForeigner: There was no Wizard of Wonderland in the original story.

* EverythingsBetterWithPrincesses: Wonderland didn't have a princess in the books. It does here.

* OurDragonsAreDifferent: The Jabberwocky is ''enormous'', so much so, [[TheDreaded everyone in Wonderland, even the Wizard, is terrified of him]]. Everyone avoids him, [[IJustWantToHaveFriends leaving alone and rather grumpy.]]
