* AbusiveAlienParents: EBE1 towards Hue.
* ActionGirl: Pigment kicks ass and takes names. [[spoiler: In the fight against Roger, it's her who does most of the kicking, while her partner restricts himself to IShallTauntYou verbal lashing and looking cool]].

* AlienAbduction: The main premise of TheGreys abduct humans for research. That's how Rose () ends up in the plot.
* AlienAutopsy: Happened (off-page) in the forties storyline. Glassner also threatened [=EBE1=] with it.
* AlienBlood: Greys TheGreys have blue blood.blood.
* AliensStealCattle: For food, mainly.

* BadassAndChildDuo: Soort of how the Guinea and Pig started, although she's a grownup (if small) from the beginning and every inch as capable as her companion. But they walk the Earth, fighting the good fight together.

* BetweenMyLegs: This page when
* BlindingBangs: 8, and all of the Majestic 12 (save Roger and 6) have HiddenEyes.

to:

*** 8 and 6 seem to be quite close emotionally. He's rather sweet towards her (buying her that picture frame was adorable).

* BlindingBangs: 8, and all of the Majestic 12 (save Roger and 6) have have, in one way or another, HiddenEyes.

* BullyingADragon: Dr. Glassner has a disturbing tendency to bully Greys. Who are telepathic and telekinetic, and, in case of [=EBE1=] at least, IKnowWhatYouFear not afraid to use it.

* DeliberatelyMonochrome: The 1940s flashbacks eventually settled on appearing this way.

to:

** Don't forget Guinea and Pig, whose very names show much propensity for BlackComedy snark.

* GenerationXerox: Between [=EBE1=] and Phillis and in the forties, Hue and Rose.Rose present-day.

* TheGreys: The aliens are explicitly identified as the Greys in-universe.

to:

* GreenEyedMonster: Roger, who's already rather stressed, reacts very violently when he sees his girlfriend with Hue.
* TheGreys: The aliens are explicitly identified Hue and [=EBE1=]'s race. Dour, described as the Greys in-universe.creatures of rigid habits, reproduce by cloning. * InterspeciesRomance: Also All over the main premise of the plot.place, in many different flavours.

* MadScientist: Glassner is... lower in decibels than most, but he is quite insane. Exhibit A: [[spoiler: an OnlyMostlyDead woman in a glass tank ]].

* MindOverMatter: TheGreys. They can also make walls temporarily intangible.

* MsFanservice: 8.

to:

** But he doesn't even like women!
* MsFanservice: 8.8 is TheTease expert, especially towards Roger. It used to be her job.
* MyCard: Guinea (the AWOL agent formerly known as 12) and Pig (his grey companion Pigment) have one of these. Guinea gives it to Hue in case he needed more of their badassery in the future.

* NoSuchAgency: The Majestic 12 is so secret they don't even use personal names (unless talking about someone who's already left the service). And don't tell the prospective recruits they're going to be shipped off to a top secret instalation in the middle of nowhere, completely incommunicado, say bye-bye to your loved ones forever, you're a Man (or Woman) in Black now. Wear your shades.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Besides Glassner, TheGreys don't really seem to age - Pigment first came to Earth about thirty years before the present day plot started and she looks the same. [=EBE1=] is probably older than she is and hasn't aged a day, either, since the 1940's.

* PsychicLink: [[spoiler: [=EBE1=] develops one with Phyllis. It transmits pain.]]
* PunnyName: Guinea and Pig .

** Justified, as with human Tone her chip has a glitch in it causing her long locks.
* TheReptilians: Longus.

to:

** Justified, as with human Tone - her chip has a glitch in it causing her long locks.
* TheReptilians: Longus.Two species on them, one of which is actually bred from Earth Troodon. And has prehensile tongues.

* SanitySlippage: It seems Roger is cracking under the strain of his new MIB job...
* ScarfOfAsskicking: Guinea and Pig both sport these - he gets a classy red silk one, she has a pale yellow one over twice as long as she's tall.

* ThemeNaming: The Greys are Hue, Shade, Tone, . Only [=EBE1=] doesn't fit this pattern, but it's because his "name" is actually a designation given to him by the U.S. Government (his real name hasn't been revealed).

to:

** In her childhood picture (and one dream sequence), Rose is blonde...
* TelepathicSpacemen: TheGreys, very much (they've lost the use of their mouths). Reptiloids, to smaller extent. No info on the Nordics yet.
