One of the rays hit Fred and killed him, and when Niles came back to fuse with Zero, he's visibly shocked at what his plan had already costed him]].
* ActionGirl: In the evacuation scene, Meggy shows off her credentials as one by saving one of Desti's old teammates from a meteor strike via DivingSave.
* AmbiguousSituation: It's unclear who the "wannabe [=SMGs=]" Niles was talking about was.
